I like this, kinda reminds of something that would have came out if 90-92 because of 70s funk jazz sample and the tempo. I could see Large Pro and Pete Rock using this sample during that time of hip hop. Both of theses cats are the same age as me (40 something) which means they were born in the 70s so we grew up to that type of sound so by the late 80s and early 90s, in our early 20s, cats dug in those crates to sample these type of records. I don’t get the second beat with no vocals tho.
I feel like Ghost’s verses are lackluster lately. He used to be weird and funny or grimy and detailed, now he’s very straightforward and generic.
I agree. He almost sounds like he whines more.
