Young Thug Models Womenswear For Calvin Klein

Rap is getting another look from the fashion industry as Calvin Klein has tapped Young Thug to help promote the Fall 2016 campaign.

The Atlanta rapper is shown on Instagram in a black pinstriped dress with black pants underneath. The caption explains that the look is from the 2016 women’s collection.

“I disobey in #mycalvins,” the slogan for the advertisement reads.

Young Thug has blurred gender lines before by wearing women’s clothing and using affectionate terms like “lover” when referring to other rappers.

Thugger also performed at Calvin Klein’s showcase with Urban Outfitters at SXSW this year.

In a promotional video for CK that dropped last week, he explains that he thinks a gangsta is a gangsta whether they wear a dress or baggy pants. “I feel like there’s no such thing as gender,” he says.

The 2016 campaign also features fellow rapper Frank Ocean, as well as Kate Moss, Margot Robbie, Bella Hadid and David Blaine.

The fashion brand enlisted Kendrick Lamar, Joey Bada$$ and Fetty Wap for its Spring campaign.

Also this year, A$AP Rocky was named as one of the faces for Dior Homme’s campaign and Missy Elliott became a representative for Marc Jacobs.

    1. Shocker. We know where he conceals his weapons. Dude makes Elton John look macho. It’s the Hip-Hop Boy George…

      1. @Djf
And YOU need to stop hanging with the both of them. I dedicate this L to you and OVO stans.

        1. Shit they told you i hang out with them oh no yea they told me they told you while they were givin you the DP treatment while you licked jaden smiths clit under his bawls

    2. This is the only way this lame can get people to talk bout him he is beyond a joke now him and jaden smith need slapped stupid. His music is garbage he has no lyrics his flow and voice are annoying and he hasnt sold anything close to what they wanted lmao he supposed to have this big buzz but his best was 30k first week Gates and Fetty alone are doing 3 or 4 times that consistently thugga is already finished lyor cohen knows he invested in the wrong homo

      1. Exactly! “What can I do to get a reaction because my sh!tty m!xt@pes STILL aren’t selling?!” This ambiguous sideshow’s antics are played the f**k out already. Even cosigns from major artists can’t help this TMZ wannabe “rapper”.

PS – Selling BS m!xt@pes for 3 straight years is SUPER wack btw!

    3. not sure when it became cool or “gangsta” to wear women’s clothes and other suspect stuff…oh well, guess i’m not cool…and that’s cool with me

      1. It has never been or will be. No respectable man is taking someone serious in a dress or tights, talking about they’re 100. This what happens when artist let the industry tell the what to do.

    4. This guy looks like a fucking idiot. He looks like a lady school principle. What a shame. Seriously. is he following that ladyboy model smith? this is truly pathetic. Sad day for real men all over the world.

    5. Ladies and gents. This is HIPHOP 2016. It’s a sad reality. That treasured word hiphop is becoming more and more hard to say. Maybe we need to come up with a new name for this shit?? Men dressing in women’s clothing ain’t hiphop in my mind. But it is with all these fuckheads.

      1. 1,000,000,000% cosign! Definitely need to separate this BS from the term “Hip Hop”. To each their own but I am damn sure not supporting this type of nonsense. All just to get a reaction. Super wack! Either be a gay rapper or just stop with the ambiguous antics.

      2. that is because he is not HIP HOP he is HIP POP and I wish this new generation would stop trying to compare this new stuff to hip hop. I get tired of people like oh this is better than rap has ever been. Im looking like every year of the 90’s there was at least 10 classics being dropped global or regionally. I can barely name 10 in the last five years. Keep it real. Hip Hop fans are wack now. Bacc in the day he would have got boo’d. We had hammer but Ice Cube did a diss record and video call true to the game. Other rappers spoke out. I remember 8ball and mjg had a song dont sell out. EPMD crossover. I remember Vanilla Ice got boo’d when he got an award. He got hung over a balcony, In living color did a skit beating his ass, and Arsenio Hall had the interview. Hip Hop stood up but now yall some submissive cowards. Thats not HIP HOP fam!!! peace

        P.S. I’m from the South.

        1. Yep.has got it right. These ifs grew up with no role models. So he dresses like a female modle. Thug used to where momas heels too.no doubt im getting old. Cause I dont see nuthin gangsta about being cross dresser. Lol. Kinda funny to me.but hey I was born in the 80z, everything is goofy 2me. And baby needs to exposed. He’s behind this new movement.

    6. This should be considered “LGBT Appropriation” without question! Talmbout appropriation of culture? Sheeeiiit. He’s using the gay card for press! Smmfh? This ain’t Hip Hop!

    7. There is no such thing as BLUR GENDER LINE thats made up BS, ask any biologists. What he is doing is wearing women clothes which is a mentally illness. FOH

    8. We didn’t shit on Michael Jackson, Prince, or Mick Jagger for doing this shit, so why Thugger? All these ignorant people in the comments section mad because some dude that dgaf is clowning them lmaooo

      1. are you really trying to compare “Thugger” to Michael Jackson, Prince, or Mick Jagger??? what the fuck is wrong with you kids today. the future is looking grim, folks.

    9. @eli Just WHEN the fuck did MJ and Prince n Mick wear women clothes?? Never… Far from it, they wore masculine clothes, not dresses and skirts. Get your head out of your ass and see reality for what it is. Androgynous looks and wearing female clothes is 2 different things.

      1. please get your history correct if you’re going to rant: Early in his career, PRINCE did wear WOMEN’S lingerie as part of his act. and NO ONE complained. Not to mention HIGH HEELS throughout his ENTIRE career. If that’s not female clothing, i don’t know what is.
don’t take my word for it – GOOGLE it. And sit the f*ck down and stop the ignorance. Would I wear those clothes? No. But I’m not going to hate on someone who chooses to express themselves in ways that others cannot understand.
