YG is standing behind the message of his 2016 Donald Trump diss “FDT” as the nation heads into another election.
The Nipsey Hussle collaboration has a very clear anti-Trump message and was released ahead of the 2016 election. Despite some previous Trump opponents now flipping sides like Waka Flocka and Amber Rose, YG’s stance remains the same.

“I think it’s still [fuck Donald Trump],” the Compton rapper told Adin Ross on his Kick stream over the weekend. “I seen something a week or two weeks ago that Trump was trying to give immunity to police officers and I don’t understand how a human being can do that. I’m Black so I got a lot of homies and friends that been in police brutality situations where they ain’t really do nothing wrong.
“Police tripping out and n-ggas end up dead or fucked up in jail and all type of shit, and I feel like police should be responsible for their actions. But for Trump – he thinks different and I don’t fuck with that.”

When the clip of YG and Adin’s conversation was shared to Akademiks’ page, people in the comments applauded the rapper for standing strong in his stance – especially with Adin being pro-Trump.
“That was a great reply by YG,” one person wrote, while someone else said, “At least YG stood on business.”

Another comment read, “Shout out to @yg for standing on business. It’s still FDT.”
Last summer, before Donald Trump officially began his 2024 presidential campaign, YG reignited his longstanding feud with the former president after the latter’s mugshot went public.
The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office released the booking photo that was taken when the Republican politician turned himself in following his indictment for election interference last August. The very next day, YG announced a new line of t-shirts featuring Trump’s sulky mugshot.
YG and the late Nipsey Hussle created one of the definitive protest anthems of modern United States politics with “FDT (Fuck Donald Trump).” During the last elections, appreciation for the joint spiked as its sales tripled.
