This comes as news according to various projections and it has Wiz trailing only Brittany Spears, who will reportedly have the number one spot.

Rolling Papers is the major label debut for Wiz Khalifa, a young artist, a DXnext alum. This major label effort also features Too Short (as seen in video below) and production from E Dan and Big Jerm.

    1. Congrats Wiz, admit you bitches he’s put in work! This album NOT a certified banger but it’s good candy for the kiddies…

      – Far Gone Beyond

    2. i only hope it drops off by next week, i loved Kush and Oj but he’s so simple and repetitive now that he’s turning into a new Soulja Boy in my eyes.

      1. He is a version of Soulja Boy, just one step closer to “g” so that makes him easier to listen to.

    3. I can sum up the entire scope of this album in a few phrases:
      “Taylor Gang”
      “High as Fuck”
      “Smoke Kush”
      “Party with Bitches”

Did I miss any other subject material?

      1. “riding in his whip while blunted”
        “haters love my cologne”
        “money & cologne”
        “rolling up kush”
        “losing my kush”
        “finally got my kush”
        “no Kushion”

    4. ok I like his music. Really enjoy the beats, but this video is retarded. Everyone gets you like smoking wiz. Why make a terrible video that thats full of really gay face shots of you blowing smoke?? Does the smoke get replaced with something else behind close doors??

    5. Wow i’m really astonished by the amount of hate some of you turds have for Wiz. Dude ain’t going anywhere so live with it. Dumbfucks.

    6. why cuz of all the dick riding? Dude had it can’t not admit that but shit. This album is whack as fuck and will sell that much first week? Then you got dope albums like Joell and Ghostface who don’t do shit. People spend money where it’s needed.

      1. It’s all about promotion and AnR doin their job well. Wiz is very easy to listen to and has that Pop sound that (now a days) is what sells a lot of records in hip-hop. I fucks with Wiz just cause it is about perfect cruising music for the spring. Not saying he is the most talented artist but he does what he does well.

    7. snoops projected at 45-50k. damn i was kinda rooting for tha doggfather here sales wise, not that he ever stood a chance. NOBODY CAME CLOSE TO BRITNEY SPEARSS GUARANTEED 300,000K+ SALES!!!!

    8. yo anonymous suck a dick, u sayin joell is wack, u fuckin crazy nigga hes one the realest mcs in the fuckin game. N FUCK WIZ KHALIFA BTICH ASS BITCH NUGGA.

    9. Universal truth is not measured in mass appeal.
Wiz is pure garbage. This kind of music destroys our culture and artform.

      1. You so called hip hop purists are so pretentious. What culture ,what artform? If history serves me correctly this entire artform was birthed from “party and bullsh!t”(punintended). You stick in the mud psuedo intellectual! if it werent for artists in any genre for that matter trying to capture and reproduce their interpretations of teenage angst, rebellion and aloofness at the moment there would be no art period! Thats why it is artistic and not educational.Doomsday Debbie Downer you probably would have told Alexandros of Antioch that sculpting the venus de milo with her tits out would destroy the culture. you make me sick you cultural imperialist. READ A BOOK or taylor gang!!! hahahahahahhaha long laugh for you trick *Wiz voice

      2. You just got sonned the fuck out. This hip-hop shit started with partying. The main point for the MC was to be a hypeman for the DJ AT PARTIES. Yes, that’s right you evolutionary backflip, hip-hop was not some social commentary of the poor and marginalized. It was about partying, having fun, living life.

Then people capitalized off of that and it turned into something you call a “culture”.

At the end of the day, it’s entertainment. You may call it whatever the fuck you want but it’s pure entertainment, nothing more or less.

      3. It became a culture and it’s definitely art. I also agree that it did start out with the party and bullshit but it doesn’t mean it can’t grow into something else – “The Message”.

Basically – it’s just another form of self expression – people have different stories and different ways to say it.

      1. THANK YOUUUUUU! Big K.R.I.T. made an instant classic wit return of 4eva. mixtape of the year right there.

    10. if you sell this many records these days it pretty much guarantees that you are wack and a sellout!!!!

all the real artists do small numbers

    11. joell Ortiz is a beast u faggot…guess u wouldnt know real hip hop if it kicked u in the ass u wack bastered….

    12. hip hop was about partying, having fun, living life.

Then people capitalized off of that and it turned into something you call a “culture”.

At the end of the day, it’s entertainment. You may call it whatever the fuck you want but it’s pure entertainment, nothing more or less.

you make not like wiz or think hes not skilled, but there are obviously people who do and at the same time dont like underground people with a social commentary because its not fun to listen to. different music for different people, so every1 just calm your fucken asses.

      1. Anyone who thinks he’s skilled is the very reason why hip hop artists tend to not make ANY songs that’ll help balance the soundscape of the genre.

You can’t have all party and bullshit. Substance has to play a part of the equation. Right now, party and bullshit is an overwhelming majority of what’s being reflected as hip hop.

I don’t mind a party songs with little “swag”. Just don’t give me that bullshit ALL day. Life has more meaning and value and it’d be nice to hear songs that reflect those morals and ethics that guide us as we grow to become a more perfect being. Even if it is a hip hop song.

Sometimes it’s like people have forgotten about that. I guess it’s all the drinking, getting high, and bitches.

Hip hop is a genre that’s over 30 years old. Many of it’s fans were born before or just at the time of it’s inception. They’ve grown beyond all of the “let’s have a party” mindset and lifestyle and, as fans of the genre, would like to have more songs in the mainstream that reflects their current one.

The way it is now, it’s only for the people with no sense of purpose. Just “do you”…”get money”…”stunt”…yada yada.

There’s a lot of holes to fill in hip hop’s “mainstream” message. A few songs with a little “social commentary” couldn’t hurt. It’d probably help.

        It’s called balance.

      2. Then people capitalized off of that and it turned into something you call a “culture”. – Wrong!!!!! Hip hop WAS the culture with just rap being the music aspect of it. There was also the graffitti, djing and b-boy element to Hip Hop.

Once money came into play and the music started moving real units.. the culture suffered

      3. BUt it did start out partying.. because that’s what cats was about then. Plug the turn-tables into the light post and party in the projects. No permit.. no one complaining about noise… no cops fucking with you.

        Can you imagine that shit?

      1. Lupe did get radio play. The Show Goes On is pretty much played in hit radio as much as Black & Yellow was. Plus Lupe has a bigger fanbase since Superstar while Wiz just started to get a bigger fanbase. Also, the fans also bought the albums unlike those who follow Canibus or any “lyrical” rapper who would never be considered to be legends.

    13. Album was trash. Khalifa just like all the other sell out artists. Now Oneirology was some classic stuff. Go listen to that instead of this middle school garbage.

      1. “Cause I’m pimpin’ really / Unless I’m gettin pain, this shit is temporary” — Too Short

    14. Reading through the comments and glad to see there’s no d&ck riding going on…listened to the whole album and found it a big dissapointment esp after Kush & OJ…not to mention Wiz has no variety in content; ALL is drinking, smoking, and bitches. Even if I was in middle school I’d get annoyed. Best track hes made is mezmorized. Should have put that on the album and made that the 2nd single and then dropped ‘roll up’ as the 3rd for the ladies

    15. You guys need to see the big picture. This is helping to get weed legalized. It is really about smoking weed. He is merging the user with the pusher. Tobacco kills half a million people a year. He is promoting a healthier alternative. This country arrests millions of pot smokers.

    16. The user who was getting pimped by the system and pushers is now the star. Now all we need is a weed rapper that exercises and eats healthy vegetables. WE all need women, nothing wrong with that. We all need money, how far you are willing to get pimped is your option.

      1. Now all we need is a weed rapper that exercises and eats healthy vegetables.

        ahahHAHAHAHAHAhahahahaha thanks for that

    17. Think for yourself. Don’t let me or other artists influence you wrongly. We may not live up to your expectations but you can!

    18. Lupe is hot but Wiz Khalifa can change the world just as much. He is doing it. He is touring colleges promoting weed. These people will be part of the legal system in one way or another. Change is happening. Weed may become legal very soon.

    19. i hope that nobody thats leaving comments are white, because white people shouldn’t have a right to say whats corny or whats not corny in hip hop or rap…… white people try so hard to act black.. i watch (malibu most) wanted movie everyday, the movie shows how stupid a white person looks when trying to act black, that movie is toooooooo funny lol lol lol lol… you got white boys walking round in the hood wit doo rags on saying (yo watt up son!!!!)trying hard to act black lol lol lol… you ever seen a white person try and dance black or act black (that shi!! is toooo funny) yo we was at the mall the other day and we saw this white boy with a red & yellow doo rag on wit grillz in his mouth buying (wave grease).. he was walking round calling people (doggy)… the black chicks was laughing they azz off…. get off our dic…. hip hop iz for blacks … we created it

      1. Hey! Scottie whats good? Yo, I was thinkin about coming to your mental institution. You know, pay you a little visit so I can hear your wisdom up close and personal. Funny stories about the malls and stuff, even though everyone knows you live in a padded room for most of the day. I hope you don’t try to headbutt the keyboard anymore, it seems like you still have enough brain power to drag your knuckles across and keyboard and make sentences — that’s good.

OK, well I hope everything’s good Scottie, Be easy… And if you ever get the urge, just tie the sheet to the closet rack. It’ll be over in moments.

    20. U guys think this is talent??? I mean seriously it wasnt that long ago that we actually had real lyricists in mainstream rap. Remember Nas, Big Pun, 90’s Jay-z, Bone thugz n harmony, Outkast, 90’s Eminem and even Dmx! Compare anything from these new mainstream rappers to the rappers that i just listed and ask yourself how is this new shit good music to you!!!!

      1. you should slap yourself..j.cole, wale, kanye, big sean, and even wayne come up with punchlines that are sometimes better than the goats..stop living in the past dude

      2. @L-Boogie You said you want lyricists and yet you mention DMX who was always using the shouting and cursing in every line. That era is over. Besides hip hop started with nursery rhymes with The Sugarhill Gang’s Rapper’s Delight. Why is the ones that complain about today’s state of hip hop are usually the ones dickriding Nas? I like Nas and consider him better than almost every mainstream rapper now in terms of lyrics and music but his stans are narrow minded. Same goes for Lupe Fiasco fans who hate on Lasers which was a dope album.

    21. go wiz, stop hatin get them copies nigga, even if the album weak, u put out alot of other shit that was hot, good weigh out the bad niggas!!!

    22. People say we’re haters when we rant about how Wiz, Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj etc are trash but if you compare anything they’ve put out to the last 5-10 years of previous rappers it doesnt live up to the hype! U got wack ass rappers selling out for weak album sales lol. Whoeva supports trash music like Wiz is just a fucking dickrider nuff said!!!!

    23. Yea but Dmx is more lyrical than anyone in the mainstream rite now and Nas fans are nowhere near annoying as Jay-z and Eminem fans, in fact Nas gets more hate.

    24. I’m surprised at how many people come on here just to hate on Wiz haha.. Listen to the first thing he says on his album.. “And they say all I rap about is bitches and champagne, you would too if every night you seen the same thing”.. He knows what he raps about, you don’t have to tell him.. He raps about weed and bitches ’cause that’s what he knows.. Quit hatin’ and make an album yourself.. Let’s see if it’s better..

    25. hahahahahahahahaahh taylorgang or sit at home all day and bitch about wat other people are doing in life… congrats on the units

    26. number are in

couldnt quite sell 200 000 copies with 191 000 sold
