Wiz Khalifa has opened up output his musical about, stating that he’s got little to prove to anyone other than himself, while also offering sage advice to fellow rappers.

On Thursday (March 9), the “See You Again” rapper took to Twitter, where he shared somewhat of a revelation aimed at the need to keep up with the demands of the ever evolving music industry — while hinting at what fans can expect from his future music catalog.

“I don’t feel any pressure to top what I’ve done only keep adding on and staying authentic to where I’m at in my life,” he began. “In a world full of formula driven records im making what feels good and what i feel people would enjoy”

In a third tweet, he added: “I wish this much peace and happiness on every artist cause it’s not easy navigating through a long term career. I’m showin all my Taylors what it looks like when done right,” he concluded.”

Wiz’s words appeared to resonate with fans who praised the Billboard Music Award winner, both for his example and work ethic. “Your work ethic and talent are unmatched, Wiz. Thank you for paving the way for so many aspiring artists and showing us what it means to do it right [sparkle, praying hands emoji],” wrote one user.

“Teaching me how to be a boss. Im slowly evolving into you capN ! Glad to have a OG like you!,” added another follower.

Meanwhile, the rapper faces busy days ahead as he along with Snoop Dogg recently announced they’ll be joining forces for a star-studded North American trek this summer branded as the High School Reunion Tour.

The Mac & Devin Go to High School collaborators will be joined by Too $hort, Warren G, Berner, DJ Drama and more on the 33-city tour which will kick off North of the border in Vancouver on July 7.

Prior to the High School Reunion Tour, Wiz will hit hit the road for a sprint through the Midwest as part of his seven-city The Good Trip Tour alongside Joey Bada$$, Berner, Smoke DZA and Chevy Woods.

That trek kicks off on April 15 in Kalamazoo, Michigan and includes stops in Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Lincoln and finishes up at Colorado’s famous Red Rocks Amphitheater on April 22.

News of the tour comes after Wiz and Snoop teased what some thought was a sequel to 2012’s Mac & Devin Go To High School. However, it looks like it might have been teasing their newly announced tour.

“High school reunion comin summer 23 @wizkhalifa,” Snoop wrote in his post accompanied by a photo of him and Wiz in the studio together.
