Win A Copy Of Big L’s “The Big Picture” Limited Edition Test Pressing Vinyl

    *UPDATE*

Congrats to Leighton Hellewell and JunClassic.

[This article has been updated. The last version was published on February 15, 2019 and can be found below.]

The late great Big L once lyrically rattled off, “I’m so ahead of my time my parents haven’t met yet.”

Go ahead and marinate on that level of dopeness while we celebrate his life.

Lamont Coleman of Harlem, NY was tragically gunned down 20 years ago on February 15, 1999.

But instead of mourning his death, the Hip Hop community relishes in the ability to uplift our greatest talent and allow for the music to be enjoyed for generations to come.

Which is why HipHopDX and RBC Records want to bless TWO lucky fans with a limited edition test pressing vinyls of Big L’s posthumously piecemealed — yet weirdly potent — album, The Big Picture.

Just answer these two questions in the comment section below (and comment using your real name!).

    1. Which multi-member Hip Hop supergroup was Big L a part of?
    2. Which producer on The Big Picture also produced for Big L’s former understudy, JAY-Z?

Winners will be selected randomly. Good luck and R.I.P to Big L!

    1. 1) D.I.T.C.
      2) DJ Premier

Loved this album as a kid. I still wonder what L could have achieved had he not passed.

    2. Children of the corn and DITC. DJ premier. I bet whoever came up with the questions is a youngin’ and doesn’t know about children of the corn and was just thinkin’ DITC. SMH

      1. COTC wasn’t a super group, the definition is that they are already stars when they collaborate. DITC were, COTC were on the come up apart from L. In hind sight an absolute super group though

      2. Also, J is Big l’s understudy? The fuck outta here. You thinkin’ of Jaz-o? Big-l was gonna sign to the ROC apparently before his death and they had a sick freestyle on stretch and bob but understudy??!?

    3. Big L was a member of DITC and the producer is my man DJ Premier…..

(he wasn’t in Children of the Corn even though he was from Harlem… that was Camron, Murda Ma$e, Bloodshed and McGruff i think)

    15. I decided not to copy anybody’s answer, nor did I know them myself (but had a feeling the second answer was Premo). Happy to see people still getting excited about real Hiphop. Will need to bump some Big L soon myself. It’s been a while.
