Warren G Checks Vancouver Gangster Who Tries To ‘Bang On’ Him: ‘He Fixed It Fast’

Warren G has learnt first-hand that Canada isn’t always as friendly as it’s cracked up to be.

In a video uploaded to Instagram on Sunday (June 23), the G-Funk pioneer detailed a tense confrontation with a stranger in Vancouver who tried to test his gangsta while out in public.

“I’m out here, it’s a trip. Outside in the streets of Vacouver, it’s pretty rough around here. Everywhere ain’t peaches and cream. You know, being from the States, we think that there ain’t places that are rough, but it’s rough everywhere,” he said.

“It’s drugs everywhere, gang shit everywhere. I was just down the street, a muthafucka damn near basically banged on me.”

Not one to be intimidated, the Long Beach, California native said he stood his ground and made the aggressor change his tune.

“I told him, ‘I ain’t from out here, muthafucka. You got me fucked up.’ He fixed it fast. He realized I wasn’t from out here,” he continued.

“I had to check him real quick, but hey, it’s all good. I ain’t about that, but I ain’t gonna let a muthafucka try to mash on me at the same time.”

Warren G was in Vancouver for his aptly-titled Cali to Canada Tour alongside fellow West Coast rap legends Snoop Dogg and DJ Quik.

The 11-date trek began in early June and has taken the trio across the Great White North to cities such as Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg and Calgary.

The tour concludes on Tuesday (June 25) at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena, home to the NHL’s Vancouver Canucks.

In addition to gang affiliates north of the border, Warren G has also been locking horns with old foe Suge Knight in recent months.

In April, the “Regulate” hitmaker denied the Death Row Records co-founder’s claim that Dr. Dre, who is Warren’s stepbrother, used to smack him around.

“You know when you was trying to use the phone when you wasn’t supposed to in front of Andre? Your brother slapped your ass around so much you started saying, ‘Okay, blood. Please don’t do it no more, I’m sorry.’ You can say that that didn’t happen, but everybody knows it’s true,” Knight said on his podcast Collect Call, which he records from prison.

“I’m not trying to promote negativity, but if you wanna lie while I’m there, you and I can sit down in the room, just me and you, and history will repeat itself.”

Warren denied Suge’s account in a video shared on social media, saying: “Suge, you right. History would repeat itself because you wasn’t the only n-gga in the room, you wasn’t by yourself.

“It was other people in the room, too. I’m not gonna say no names because like you said, we don’t talk. So why you on here talking? Let that shit go, man.”
