Wale May Release Two Albums In 2013, Talks “The Gifted” LP

Maybach Music Group’s Wale is looking to have a busy 2013. He is steadily preparing The Gifted album while also juggling other projects. Recently Wale spoke about this busy year with MTV’s RapFix sharing that he is not concerned with sales this time around.

“I’m giving you music, I’m giving you what the people need,” he explained. “I’m tired of y’all rappers like, ‘I got four joints for the ladies, I got two for the club, I got three inspirational,’ … Nah, paint a picture, show me wassup.”

He is also seemingly tired of talking about music and says he is ready to let his music speak for itself.

“I’m not even gonna do all that other stuff. I’ma talk with the music. Until my album drop, until June 25, I’ma talk loud with the music,” he elaborated. “I’ve done everything I could do, I’ve said everything I could say. I’ve kissed the babies, I’ve shook the hands — now let’s let the music talk because I ain’t about to come here and tell y’all exactly how I feel no more. I’ma let it all sing in the music.”

Wale’s interview with RapFix can be viewed below.

Earlier this year, Jerry Seinfeld confirmed that he will be involved in a forthcoming Wale project, The Album About Nothing. This confirmation can be viewed in the video clip below. Wale confirmed that this could be the second album released in 2013. He also confirmed that The Gifted, which will feature a collaboration with Mint Condition’s Stokley Williamswill be released on June 25, 2013. His output this year could match his album output for his career as he has only released two full-length albums thus far, 2009’s Attention Deficit and 2011’s Ambition

    1. Wale is the most delusional rapper in the game right now, why all his project names gotta be shit like “Gifted”, “Ambition” watch one day hes gonna release a project called “I am the greatest rapper”. I lost alot of respect for him when he said Ambition was a classic and it was on the same level as reasonable Doubt then when I listened too it, it was garbage except a couple songs. Wale really comes of as putting himself on too high a pedistool. Your ego shouldn’t be bigger then your accomplishments. Word is bond. Think about it Kendrick is more humble then this guy.

      1. most of these rappers today call their albums classic before they come out. then you got french montana claiming to have the best album in the last decade

      2. Wale Was Just As Humble As Kendrick When He Dropped Attention Deficit(Outside Of Chillin’ Was A Great Album) And None Of Ya’ll Gave A Fuck….So Thank Yourselves For That Chip You See On His Shoulder….

      3. get of lamar nuts! you talkig like you know him. give him a year or two and see if he gets the big head. money and fame changes some niggas

    2. every verse sucks now we need next level shit

make it plain as possible but a emcee tht spits fire

      like eminem – no apologies

just a beat and a emcee

    3. “then you got french montana claiming to have the best album in the last decade”

Would you prefer he say it belongs in a dumpster next to Street King Immortal?
