As previously reported, Kanye West’s album Graduation has been moved to September 11 – the same day as 50 Cent’s Curtis.
Curtis, orginially set for a summer release, was pushed back to September, then again to September 11. Now that it has been revealed that Kanye, too, will be dropping that day, 50 had some choice words to say about it during an interview with Funk Flex on New York’s Hot 97:
“It’s coming September 11th. I’m not moving nowhere. September 11th is
the day, and I’m not pushing it back under any circumstances… I hope
that they see and understand what’s getting ready to happen. I’m not
movin… If Kanye come that day he come that day. I mean, that will be
great if he actually stays on that day. I think these people are smart.
I think he’s smart, too. And I think they’ll move. But I’m coming
September 11th. Jay’s not gonna let that happen anyway.”
Though the G-Unit head honcho seems unconvinced, as of right now, Kanye will be graduating on the 11th.
UPDATE:
During the interview, 50 also had some things to say about Lil’ Wayne:
On Wayne dissing Jay-Z:
“That wasn’t right. I don’t think that was right. Cuz I think he took Hov’s influence. You know cuz I heard a lot of it that almost felt like Hov said, ‘Okay, you can just take these.’“
On Wayne working with numerous artists:
“Like, a whore sleeps with whoever pay them. So we gotta call him a whore – if he just goes with whoever.”
