Tyler, The Creator has declared he wants podcasts banned, hitting out at the culture around them.
The Odd Future founder has made no secret of his disdain for the medium in the past and explained why he wants them gone.
He said to The Cut: “I think we give a lot of people who aren’t smart and just want attention platforms to be loud and incorrect, and other stupid people follow them.”
He added: “Where are the people with skills? We need electricians, we need more drummers, painters, teachers. Everybody with a mic is crazy. I just think that shit is gross.”

Tyler went on to reveal a couple of the podcasts that he actually likes: “Deante Kyle is sick, and The Cutting Room Floor is sick. Those are two podcasts that are in the right direction.”
Last year, Tyler said that the first thing he would do if he was president would be to ban podcasts.
He said: “If I was president, the first thing I would do is take podcast mics away from n-ggas.”
Another thing Tyler, The Creator does not like is the presence of white rapper, Ian, in Hip Hop.

Speaking to Maverick Carter on his SpringHill platform last August, Tyler, The Creator aired out his issues with an unnamed “white kid” while heavily alluding to Ian.
“There’s this kid right now, this white kid, regular Caucasian man, and he’s like mocking Future and Gucci Mane, like rap music. And people are like, ‘This shit hard!’” Tyler said.
“It’s not even like satire, it’s like, ‘I’m just joking, I’m just mocking it.’ But I’m like, ‘No, no, no, you can’t do [that].’ And I hold rap music so close to my heart ’cause this shit changed my life and everyone’s life around me, and I’m a nerd about this shit.”
Tyler continued: “This is like weird and I’m looking at it and something about it don’t even sit well with me, in comparison to someone like a Mac Miller or Eminem who didn’t seem like they were mocking it; they had a genuine love for it.”
