Twista has been on his fair share of classic remixes over the years, and he’s now revealed he’s working on his own version of Beyoncé‘s “Cuff It.”
On Friday (February 3), Bey released an official remix to the track backed by Twista’s “Wetter” instrumental — making it the latest drop from her award-winning new album, Renaissance.

The track layered over the Chi-town native’s 2009 hit even features new lyrics: “I can see the love in your eyes/ Boy I know you wanna squeeze it, don’t lie/ Double tap when I walk by, fuck a reply,” she sings on the bridge.
But, according to The Neighborhood Talk, there’s more to come as Tung Twista himself declared he’s going to drop his very own remix of the fan favorite song. “Working on it as we speak,” he told the outlet on Friday (February 9).
The news comes on the heels of Beyoncé’s historical night at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 5), where she accepted the award for Best Dance/Electronic Album for Renaissance.
In addition to Best Dance/Electronic Album, the global superstar nabbed the Best Dance/Electronic Recording (“Break My Soul”), Best Traditional R&B Performance (“Plastic Off the Sofa”) and Best R&B Song (“Cuff It”) — four wins which aided her in breaking the record for the most Grammy wins ever.

“Thank you so much, I’m trying not to get too emotional; I’m trying just to receive this night,” she said while holding back tears after earning her historic 32nd Grammy. “I wanna thank God for protecting me. Thank you God. I’d like to thank my uncle Johnny, who’s not here… but he’s here in spirit. I’d like to thank my parents – my mother, my father – for loving me and pushing me.”
She continued: “I’d like to thank my beautiful husband, my beautiful three children who are watching at home. I’d like to thank the Queer community for your love and for inventing this genre.”

Beyoncé went into the evening with nine nominations, pushing her career total to 88, making her the most nominated artist in Grammys history — tied with her husband JAY-Z, who added another three nods to his name thanks to his show-stealing verse on DJ Khaled’s “GOD DID,” which he performed to close out the ceremony.
The mother of three recently announced she’s heading out on tour in support of her seventh album, Renaissance. Though, it was not without controversy once fans learned of the huge fees they’d have to pay to get their hands on tickets. According to VividSeats, tickets are going for a minimum of $500, and that price will go up as the tour gets closer.

The Renaissance tour — a 40-city arena trek — will begin overseas in Sweden on May 10, with subsequent European stops in the UK, France, Spain, Netherlands, Poland and Germany.
Bey will then return to North America in July for shows in Toronto, Philadelphia, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and her hometown of Houston, among other cities.
Meanwhile, fans came to Twista’s defense last month after rap blog Raphousetv2 shared a Photoshopped image of its picks for a Mount Rushmore to represent the Windy City’s rap scene. Featuring G Herbo, King Von, Chief Keef and Lil Durk, the post’s caption read: “Is this Chicago/Chiraq Rap Mt.Rushmore Valid?”
Replies immediately starting pouring in, noting that Chicago heavyweights like Ye, Twista, Common, Lupe Fiasco and more were missing.

“You would need to do an older / newer generation Mt. Rushmore. Because no Ye, Common, Twista & Lupe is nuts,” Fakeshoredrive‘s Andrew Barber responded. “Also people gotta stop acting like Chance doesn’t belong on this.”
“Nah, thats the drill scene,” another Twitter user responded. “real one is Ye, Common, Lupe Fiasco & Twista.”
