Tupac Hologram Company Digital Domain Has Gone Bankrupt

When a hologram of Tupac appeared at Coachella, many wondered about the technology behind it. Now Digital Domain, the company that was part of the process, has filed for bankruptcy.

According to CNN Money, Digital Domain filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy after dealing with debt for a long time. If the court approves, Searchlight Capital Partners will now buy Digital Domain’s production business.

Aside from their work with the Tupac hologram, Digital Domain has also worked on several films. The company was a part of films like Titanic, Pirates of the Caribbean, Transformers and even won an Oscar for the work they did on The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

    1. I’m glad that they went bankrupt, because Tupac wouldn’t have never been on stage with people he dissed like Snoop and Dr “Fruity as Alize” Dre.

      1. companies going bankrupt is bad for the economy. If they are bankrupt, they can’t pay their debts and had to lay off employees. If any of those debts are government funded, who do you think pays for that loss? For the now unemployed people who once worked there, who do you think will pay their unemployment?

before you make asinine statements, think about who’s pocketbook this will actually affect (assuming you pay taxes).

      2. One company going bankrupt, no, it has little affect on the economy.

100’s of companies going bankrupt, and it’s tax payers who foot the bill.

I was pointing out the absurdness to root for a company to go bankrupt when it directly affects anyone who pays taxes.

No company = laid off employees = unemployment growth = higher tax premiums for people with work.

Thanks for taking the time to post something about a subject you clearly don’t understand.

    2. Ja Rule is the richest nigga in the universe, he could save this company… Though, they would need to make a hologram of him too.

      1. em needed a tupac beat (courtesy of jimmy iovine), 50 cent verse and busta rhymes. on top of that, ja rule’s popularity was already on a decline.

    3. Obviously the company is trying to avoid paying their share in taxes. They will be back under a new name in no time. Welcome to Corporate America. Get rich, ship your money to tax havens, when the IRS come knocking, claim bankruptcy. Enjoy your money for 2 years, come back under a new name and start all over again. Gotta love it…smhhh.

      1. Hey stupid boy, there’s not enough demand for their services, they work per contract and the majority of their work is with Hollywood studios. There’s a link in the posting if you REALLY wanted to know what’s going on. Dumbass.

      1. It would great to see a hologram about Ja Rule’s buzz, since it is just as dead as 2PAC and Biggie combined. Probably his career will be the next in that grave, rest in peace to both.

    4. If Lil Wayne were to die (God forbid) if they made him into a hologram it would break RECORDS worldwide! I say they should hologram him in the sky coming back as Jesus! Its YMCMB and Weezy is the KIGN of HIP HOP! #FuckJaRule

      YMCMB!

    5. he company was a part of films like Titanic, Pirates of the Caribbean, Transformers and even won an Oscar for the work they did on The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

And They Are Broke? The Titanic is the 2nd highest grossing film in the world wtf lls
