Trick Daddy has defended JT for throwing her phone at Lil Uzi Vert at this year’s BET Awards and said the Florida rapper’s reaction was completely justified.
The on-again, off-again couple attended the awards show in Los Angeles on Sunday night (June 25) but appeared to get into a disagreement while sitting in the audience. JT was caught on camera throwing her phone at Uzi before calling them a “bitch-ass n-gga” and a “groupie” before a friend helped usher JT out of her seat.

After the video went viral, Trick said JT’s behavior is to be expected if you find yourself dating a Miami woman, and that the City Girls rapper was his “homegirl.”
“Y’all know when I get live I got some shit to say,” Trick said. “Let me explain something to you n-ggas. If you not from Miami, if you not from the state of Florida, leave our Miami and Florida bitches alone if you don’t understand them.
“All y’all bitches got something to say about JT. ‘Oh, she was ratchet, too ghetto.’ That’s what you get when you fuck with a Miami bitch. I actually thought she represented.”
He went on to say, “That’s my homegirl man. That’s my homegirl, that’s how Miami bitches react, that’s how they behave, that’s how we was raised. What y’all expect out of it? She ain’t do shit wrong…JT did what a typical Miami bitch would do to a typical Miami n-gga, and that definitely a n-gga that ain’t from Miami.”

He went on to say that regardless, the fight seemed to be resolved quickly since they were spotted cozying up at Uzi’s Pink Tape release party, and are very much still together.
The Hip Hop power couple were spotted looking boo’d up once again at the prom-themed listening party for Uzi’s forthcoming album at New York City’s Irving Plaza on Tuesday night (June 27).
More footage from the party showed Uzi casually eating a Filet-O-Fish from McDonald’s as they pulled up to the venue. Lil Baby and Trippie Redd also stopped by to support their friend and collaborator.
Speculation has run rampant about what the couple’s dispute could have been about, with rumors suggesting JT was upset that Uzi posed for a photo with Ice Spice, who he namedropped while performing during the awards show. “I’m fucking the dogshit out of this bitch, her wig came off twice/ She had a lil’ fro, she look like Ice Spice,” he rapped on an unreleased song.

However, a rep for JT told TMZ her blow-up “had nothing to do with Ice” and instead she “had become frustrated when she lost her seat after the audience shuffled around.”
