Travis Scott’s last studio album was July 2023’s UTOPIA, though he topped the charts earlier this fall when he released his 2014 mixtape Days Before Rodeo to streaming services.
Following its release, Scott teased fans that he is hard at work on a new album, which he’s indicated will be inspired by his record-breaking Circus Maximus Tour.

In an interview with visual artist George Condo for Cultured Magazine on September 5, the Cactus Jack rapper revealed that he’s “back in album mode” and “amped” about the new material that he’s working on.
During the conversation, Condo — who designed the artwork for Scott’s “Franchise” single, as well as Kanye West‘s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy — said to Travis: “I remember we were in Electric Lady [Studios] and you were like, ‘I want four chords on a piano.’

“All of a sudden you had that little microphone next to you, and you’d say something like, ‘I’m gonna juggle my urges.’ Would you ever go back and work again in that studio?”
The Houston native replied: “I’m gonna be back in New York. I’m back in album mode. I’ve been working on music and shit every day on tour. When I’m doing the stadiums, because they’re sold out, I can see the music for what it is. I’m fucking amped.”

Earlier this year, he teased the possible concept of his fifth LP after a fan speculated about what direction he might take.

Scott responded the following day and appeared to confirm he’s running with the idea, replying: “R u in my brain or what.”
He will seemingly debut the new material upon his return to Coachella in 2025, which marks eight years since he’s appeared at the popular festival.
Going down April 11-13 and April 18-20, the rapper will both perform at and curate the festival, in a move billed as “Travis Scott Designs The Desert.”
A press release shared on November 20 revealed some more details, announcing that the rapper’s “Cactus Jack desert takeover” will “curate a fully immersive and experiential world within the desert.”
