TrackSlayerz Ink Production, Publishing Deals With Grand Hustle

Vakseen LLC has inked a production and publishing deal with TI’s Grand Hustle for 21-year-old production duo TrackSlayerz.

Consisting of Dexter “INF” Randall and Demetri “Price” Duncan, the young producers were behind the boards for TI’s comeback single, “I’m Back.”

Having also produced for Jim Jones (“Pulling Me Back”) and Yung Joc (“Posted at Da Store”), TrackSlayerz are busy at work with Grand Hustle affiliates Yung L.A. and Young Dro. Also, TI has recorded three other track with them, though it’s currently unclear which ones will reach the public.

TI is currently working on his seventh studio album.

    1. Its a shame how yall take something as CRIMINAL as this (a BAD deal) and make it sound like its news. It would be a GOOD deal if they ONLY inked a PRODUCTION DEAL with the label which means they get paid for their duties and are a part of the Grand Hustle family. A GREAT deal would be if it was UN-exclusive and they were still allowed to work with other artists. But since they also included publishing, that means GRAND HUSTLE now owns HALF of EVERYTHING these cats do for now on…until the deal is over. THAT means Grand Hustle makes all of their money RIGHT back from the 50% publishing that GRAND HUSTLE now owns, lol.

      Thats not news!

      WHERE’S YA LAWYER AT, YOUNG’NS?

    2. what’s really sad is you^^^

you assume you know the in’s and outs of their deal. Did you see the deal? Did you review the paperwork? Did you discuss the terms and or negotiate them? and how do you know that they are giving up all of their publishing and only keeping their composer/writers share? How much experience do you have of working in publishing and or administering of one’s publishing other than your own?

Now, even if they are giving up all of their publishing (which we don’t know) they have just inked a deal which at the very least allows them to regularly record and release music that can be sold and will get radio play, tv placememnts and licensing opportunities with one of the artists that gets more radio play than 95% of other artists. Now that means even if only on the writers side they will be making a significant amount of royalties for on air (tv, radio and internet) performances which will add up to alot of money. Every business deal is not the best deal for the lesser known or less experienced and or succesful of the two doing a deal however it is an opportunity to do business, make money and leverage themselves better for their next deal should they and TI reach success together. you sound rediculous. Congrats to this 21 year old team….yes 21! sounds to me like these guys are off to a great start in their careers…what did you do this year Mr Real Real Talk that allows you to judge what is or isn’t a good deal. Also, if Grand Hustle wanted to work with me I would be hapy to give up some of my publishing if it guarenteed me placements and access to their network becuase they are extremely succesful. If you don’t get that then you should complain to your parents for the bad deal you got for receiving a brain that can’t process information effectively or register when a good opportunity presents itself. Check Mate.

BTW…I do not know the ppl that this article is about however I do work in publishing and it sickens me to see when someone (THINKS) they know the business b/c they here some business terms used in a song or have a small amount of direct or indirect experience on their own which all of the sudden makes them a expert in the game.

Industry Rule #4081….98% of the hip hop fans that talk about record sales, marketing or publishing have no idea what they are talking about and sound like idiots when they are around someone who does.

      1. So you think you just made a point? You really just got on here and did the same thing REAL REAL TALK did which was talk like u know what the hell goes on. For all we know you just another mutha fucka running off at the mouth!!

BTW: I don’t know shit about the publishing business just like alot of people on this site so really when you get on here and comment like you do and try to talk down and call anotha nigga an idiot because he stating his opinion, really don’t mean shit cause your opinion on the deal aint necessary what it is either! Theres only one thing I agree with you on and thats:

(Every business deal is not the best deal for the lesser known or less experienced and or succesful of the two doing a deal however it is an opportunity to do business, make money and leverage themselves better for their next deal should they and TI reach success together.

    3. They signed a publishing deal? LOL I bet they are giving up their publishing for the chance to be in-house producers. Fuck that. I spent money on drum machines, keyboards and learned piano. Suck my dick. Keep them cheap internet beats. Im making my own album. “Get Tally”. A brooklyn producer, Miami baller, and Movie industry player. Talk about having shit to say.. I done been on phone calls with major studios negotiating scripts (emails to prove it), and still had a crib in a gated community before a deal. Make my own beats. Plus I’m pretty! “I write the story drizzy, you just recite it. Catholic school girls gave me head in the fire escape, when I was 12, so pardon me if groupies don’t get me excited”

    4. They are in-house as in I’m keeping your publishing. Mannie Fresh got raped for being an in-house producer. You don’t see none of the Bad Boy Hit Men on mtv Cribs do you? Where’s Beats by the Pound from No Limit Records? If I see anything but a split sheet slipped in front of me after I compose a record and build the drums, plus even write lyrics, ALL HELL ABOUT TO BREAK LOOSE PLUS SOME FURNITURE OR SHIT WILL BE LEAKED LIKE BREAST MILK. ALL you wack industry fux with the same motif sounds, and snare and kick rolls are fuckin funny. So much reverb on the sounds, you aint foolin nobody. .99 cent fuckin beats. lol I hope these young boys aint get shafted. I hope they succeed.

      1. beats by the pound are no more but KLC from beats by the pound still make beats and he’s giving those to mystikal

mannie beef was he couldnt work outside of cashmoney also thats the money he was missing not just baby fucking him i think he will be back with CMR in some way

      1. What is your definition of hate? How am I hating? Plaxico never had any priors. Shoots hisself, and is doing 2 years. He got more money than TI will ever see. Wayne who is more paid than TI, got caught with one gun, has to do a year. Prodigy got caught with a .32 is doing 3 years, and your man aint singing? If u a snitch supporter than gahead homie. Die slow

    5. Inoa is broke ain’t no must be lol. He spend his life commenting and hating on artist on the internet while they make $$$. Like T.I. really cares what people think about him.

      1. Mook is a spook, worrying about other dudes finances. You one of them dudes that check a nigga walking in a room up and down to see what a nigga wearing. That’s bitchmade nigga. I could give a fuck what a bird ass nigga like TI living like. I know that as a man he snitched, and got ya believing his money got out him out jail. If that nigga more paid than me then why every girl I ever had since 11 years old look flyer than that ugly ass X-Scape whore he call a wife? I imagine what the bitches he a plucking before the fame and lil money he got looked like. Fuck outta here Spook.
