Following five months of investigation, Toronto rapper Lady SB is among five individuals who are being charged for their alleged participation in operating a human trafficking ring.

According to a report from Toronto’s CTV News on Wednesday (September 18), Halton Regional Police allege the group had multiple victims from September 2019 to September 2024.

SB (real name Sabrina Leite-Moniz), along with fellow rapper Casino Barnes (real name Prince Munroe) and his brother Jamie Munroe each face multiple charges, including trafficking in persons, knowingly advertising sexual services and assault. Two others, Jonathan Bennett and Shuwayne Mitchell, face one count each of procuring/exercising control.

Upon their arrest, officers seized a “large sum” of cash, a loaded gun, a prohibited magazine, a vehicle and documents identifying some of the victims.

In an interview with No Jumper in 2023, Lady SB was asked about her income. While she wouldn’t elaborate on how she makes her money, she did allude to some illegal activities.

She also discussed previously being arrested on gun charges.

A few years back, Houston legend Mike Jones addressed rumors he was involved in human trafficking, quickly proving his innocence with receipts.

“Setting the Record Straight ! Call the Sgt of the City where they say the rumor happened n see what he say!,” Jones wrote in a post to X in 2016.

He attached a screenshot of an email from Sgt. Bill Grayson of the San Antonio Special Victims Unit. In the email, Sgt. Grayson states that the San Antonio Police Department has never “filed charges against Michael Jones for the criminal offense of human trafficking” and has never “been involved in an investigation regarding human trafficking or sexual assault as mentioned in the news articles against Michael Jones.”

After sharing the email from Sgt. Grayson, Jones questioned those who believed rumors of his alleged involvement in human trafficking.
