Toosii has joked about looking for a new career after his new album JADED failed to hit its sales target.

After it was reported that Toosii’s album debuted at No.50 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart with 16,000 units sold, the rapper commented on Monday (October 14) on the surprising numbers.

In since deleted tweets, Toosii wrote: “Who job hiring…? [melted face emoji]”

In a second tweet he added: “alright jokes over wrap this shit up by tomorrow I just went 50 billboard Top 200 on a mixtape [sly face emoji] don’t let the jokes fool you [prayer hands emoji] stay blessed!”

Toosii’s fictitious job search came because before the album arrived, he made some bold promises regarding album sales.

In a live video, he explained: “I bet it on my life: If my project don’t at least do 20,000, I will quit rapping. Y’all got my word. I’ll quit rapping. I’ll go get the [expletive] some other way.”

He added: “That’s how confident I am, that’s what I’m tryna tell y’all. This project selling and this project moving … It’s not the numbers that got me talking like this, at all. It’s just the fact that I hate that the game don’t respect good music. That’s my problem. It’s not the numbers. My shit moving … It’s the fact that the people don’t respect good music no more. That’s why Hip Hop flopping, that’s why all the numbers is going down … The game oversaturated, they think everybody can do it, we gassing up [expletive] trash songs.”

While Toosii has made it clear he doesn’t plan on quitting the rap game, he might have a second career as a minister.

Earlier this week, he took to Instagram to share a clip of him appearing to perform a wedding in Central Park in New York City.

A video showed Toosii overseeing ceremonies for two couples. He captioned his post: “I bet y’all didn’t know I was a licensed ordained minister! Shout out to these beautiful couples [heart emoji] and congratulations [wedding ring emoji]. NOW WHO DOING MY WEDDING? [crying laughing emoji].”

Despite the convincing acting, the clip doesn’t appear to be serious.

It was filmed earlier this month before JADED arrived, and has been speculated to be the music video for the Muni Long-assisted “I Do.”
