Three 6 Mafia, Yelawolf and Jelly Roll have announced they will be embarking on a huge 44-city joint tour — and there’s even more artists coming along for the ride.
On Monday (February 20), Jelly Roll took to Instagram to share a trailer announcing the Backroad Baptism Tour, in which the rapper/singer calls some of his friends about his plans to hit the road. Three 6 Mafia, Yelawolf, Struggle Jennings and more receives a FaceTime call from Jelly Roll, who proceeds to ask if they should all go on tour.

In another post, Jelly Rolly shared photos of his “bubbas” and the flyer for the 44-city trek.
“The Backroad Baptism Tour is coming to a city near you this summer and I’m bringing my friends with me baby,” Jelly Roll captioned the post. “Ashley McBryde Chase Rice Elle King Merkules Struggle Jennings Three 6 Mafia Yelawolf Josh Adam Meyers Don’t miss it when this circus comes to your town!!”

The tour will kick off on July 28, 2023 in Southaven, Mississippi, and will make stops in Virginia Beach, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Dallas and more before wrapping things up on October 14 in Tampa, Florida.

Jelly Roll’s tour announcement arrives after having a huge 2022. The multi-genre phenomenon (real name Jason DeFord) who started out as a rapper in Tennessee’s underground Hip Hop scene broke the record for longest reign on Billboard‘s Emerging Artist chart earlier this month.
Topping the chart for a record-breaking 25 weeks, he took the title from NLE Choppa who originally set the record with a 24-week run at the top of the chart in 2019 and 2020.

Helping Jelly Roll to achieve this feat were his country/rock-leaning singles “Dead Man Walking,” “She,” “Need a Favor,” and “Son of the Dirty South.” However, his biggest record is the heartfelt and vulnerable “Son of a Sinner,” which became his first chart-topper on the Country Airplay chart last month.
The multi-genre music star independently released a total of 23 projects throughout his career, most of which feature him rapping. Because of that, Jelly Roll earned co-signs from artists such Tech N9ne, Krizz Kaliko, Yelawolf and Three 6 Mafia — whose label Hypnotize Minds released Year Round, Jelly’s collaborative album with Lil Wyte and the late BPZ (under the moniker SNO) in 2011.
