On Tuesday June 25th BET will be holding their second annual BET Awards at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles. The awards are to honor African-Americans that have excelled in music, movies and sports.
The show will be hosted by Cedric The Entertainer and Steve Harvey (which makes the show with watching regardless of anything else). The show will feature three new categories, including a humanitarian award and two viewers choice awards. The viewers choice awards will be done in conjunction with BET.com.

Best Female R&B Artist Best Actress in a Film
Best Male Hip-Hop Artist Athlete of the Year
Best Female Hip-Hop Artist Viewers’ Choice – Video of the Year
Best New Artist Viewers’ Choice – Favorite Female Artist
Humanitarian Award Viewers’ Choice – Favorite Male Artist
