The Resurrection of Common

Common is on pace to sell 250,000 copies of his latest album Be, despite rampant bootlegging of the disc weeks before the commercial release.

Both fans and critics alike loudly expressed their displeasure with Common’s last album, Electric Circus. The album failed to go gold, selling only 292,000 copies to date. XXL called the new album classic and other critics have hailed Be as Common’s return to his Resurrection days. The 11 track features production by Kanye West and former Slum Village member Jay Dee.

To promote the release of Be, Common will make a number of promotional appearances and will also be hitting the road with fellow G.O.O.D. music label mate John Legend and hip-hop veterans De La Soul.

The second single for the album will be the John Mayer and Kanye West featured “Go.”
