It has been two years since the release of their critically acclaimed debut LP, “Nia,” Blackalicious is ready to return. Their sophomore LP “Blazing Arrows” is coming soon on April 30th. Fellow Quannum crew member and sampler extraordinaire, DJ Shadow will be releasing his new project on May 21st. That album will be called “Private Press.”
Both members of Latyrx are keeping busy these days as well. Lyrics Born is hard at work on his solo offering entitled “Later That Day.” Look for that before 2003. The other half of Latyrx, Lateef, is currently doing a project with Blackalicious’ Chief Excel. Their album will be called “Lateef and the Chief: Maroons.” Don’t sleep on this crew.
