According to TMZ, a man filed a civil suit against The Game, claiming he assaulted him during a game of pickup basketball last year.
Court documents say that Shannon Rodrick claims that Game told him his “team is garbage” and sucker-punched him, causing Rodrick to fall backward.
The lawsuit also alleges that Game went to his vehicle to get a gun, and approached Rodrick saying, “I’m going to blast this fool.“
Game served eight days in prison after pleading no contest to felony possession of a firearm in a school zone, but this incident may end up costing the rapper more than time. Rodrick’s suit alleges assault, battery, a civil rights violation and negligence, and seeks unspecified damages.
In addition to the time he spent in jail, Game was also sentenced to 150 hours of community service. He was released last weekend from the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in L.A.
