Teflon has reunited with M.O.P. and DJ Premier on his new song “The Thoro Side” — check it out below.

Released on Thursday (April 20), the track finds the New York rap veterans trading bruising bars over punishing production from Preemo, which is laced with spine-chilling strings and signature cuts sampling lines from Nas and M.O.P. affiliate Foxx.

Billy Danze kicks things off with a typically rugged verse, before Lil’ Fame takes the baton and sprinkles a dose of humor into his hard-hitting rhymes: “We’ll tear this bitch apart/ I got goons that’ll clap for nothing like the kids on ‘106 & Park.'”

Teflon then brings it home by reminding listeners that the Mash Out Posse still ain’t nothin’ to be fucked with. “Hit ’em with the blueprint, the streets approved it/ M.O.P. ain’t just any team, we a movement/ So introducing the new shit from the cats that gave a lot of dudes they influence,” he spits.

“Nothing like getting back in the lab with my home team,” Tef said of the collaboration. “A whole lot of history in the building with Preem going way back and reconnecting on ‘The Thoro Side.’ It brings back those same dope vibes, lyrical marksmanship and classic fire that the streets been missing!”

“Having the team back together to create more magic on ‘The Thoro Side’ is monumental,” Danze added. “The song is crazy (no surprise there), but the session was like a throwback to the future, with new but familiar energy that can’t be duplicated.”

Premier, meanwhile, said: “When we started working on Tef’s album, it is automatic that we will get an M.O.P. record in there just because that’s First Family and it’s tradition on every M.O.P. album as well … Then to add my scratches, especially of Foxx’s voice of her shouting them out from the song ‘Warriors,’ it makes it feel like complete fireworks nonstop. A Win-win.”

“The Thoro Side” will appear on Teflon’s upcoming album Two Sides to Every Story, which is largely produced by DJ Premier along with Jazimoto.

The project, which will also include the previous single “Contraband,” is due out this summer via Teflon’s own 420 Music in partnership with Coalmine Records.

“The Thoro Side” is a welcome reunion between Teflon and M.O.P., whose long-running collaborative relationship dates back to the group’s 1996 album Firing Squad.

Tef later appeared on M.O.P.’s “4 Alarm Blaze” alongside JAY-Z, from 1998’s First Family 4 Life, as well as the “Ante Up” remix which also featured Busta Rhymes and Remy Ma.

Teflon and DJ Premier would later link up for “F.U.” and ”Comin’ At Cha,” along with several unreleased gems from the Brooklyn MC’s shelved Def Jam debut.
