The Detroit native confirmed Jeezy, Rae Sremmurd, Chris Brown, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Lil Yachty and YFN Lucci will be on the album. London on da Track, Chopsquad DJ and Helluva — the beatmaker behind “First Day Out” — are among the producers for Grizzley’s latest.

Fans who have been following Tee Grizzley since his single “First Day Out” became a smash hit got a special treat on Tuesday (March 20). The 23-year-old MC announced his next project, Activated, would be dropping on May 11.

The 300 Entertainment/Atlantic Records signee has been on an upward trajectory since late 2016, which marked the release of his breakthrough song. He spoke to HipHopDX in April 2017 about how his popular track came to fruition.

“I wrote this one song. It didn’t have a hook on it. I was like ‘I’m going to be calm and first and then turn up,'” he explained. “All through my bid, I was just adding to it. Touching it up and critiquing it. I was like, ‘I’m going to drop this first.'”

At the time of the interview, “First Day Out” had clocked 26 million views on YouTube alone. It’s now closing in on 80 million views and was certified platinum on December 6, 2017.

In 2017, Grizzley dropped his debut mixtape, My Moment, and a collaborative project with Lil Durk titled Bloodas. No additional information available about Activated has been revealed at this time.

    1. Good for him, honestly i think he’s can’t rap… if you have an album full of features keeping ya project afloat… that’s not a good look.

    2. Still on first listen but enjoying it so far. There are a lot of features but that isn’t uncommon for a debut album, especially if it’s on a major.

    3. This is awful..several bad features..sounds like “yfn lucci” is the only one who put any effort into his verse..no real lyricism or song creativity to make up for the generic ass delivery & subject matter..the features themselves look like they were suggested by a record label exec “hey how bout that little pump and little yacht, the kids like that stuff let’s put em on your album, Tee!” Even doubled up on the obligatory Chris brown hook/bridge… just a waste of time and money for everyone involved imo..keep at it though big guy

    4. Just a reminder that when you buy the album, buy it track by track but skip out on track four with chris brown. Sales from that and the entire album with the track will partially go to a domestic abuse of women.

    5. Forgot to tell you to leave out track 7. That has chris “The domestic abuser” Brown in it as well.

    6. Only tracks I really fuck with is the ones without features besides the one with YFN….those tracks are cool to me but the other shit I’m cool…don’t wanna hear no commercial shit….
