Tamar Braxton has clapped back at Kandi after the Xscape singer bragged about the girl group’s booking fee allegedly being triple that of SWV’s.

On Monday (March 20), Braxton slid into the comment section of a Shade Room post where she threw some shade in Kandi’s direction while promoting her new song “Changed,” which pays homage to SWV.

“Imagine having The biggest ego for the most non singing ass person in the music industry,” the Maryland native fired away. “Stream my new hit song #changed where I pay homage to the AMAZING swv!!”

The enraged reply from Tamar came in response to Kandi Burruss bragging about how Xscape’s rate was three to four times higher than SWV’s and how they shouldn’t sacrifice their booking fee to co-headline a concert together.

“We gotta maintain the fees that we get,” Kandi said. “Another example, I don’t want to speak on exactly the fees that they get, but at the time, our fee was three to four times what their fee is. So why would we agree to split our fee and split in half? That means we are lowering what we get just to so they could say they felt comfortable.”

The Tamar Braxton-Kandi feud goes back months as TB previously hinted at having beef with a Real Housewife of Atlanta star. She revealed that it happened to be Kandi Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker during a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live.

“It really did happen,” Braxton said of allegedly being threatened backstage by Kandi and her husband. “That shit really did happen and it was not cute.”

The Grammy-nominated singer thought her beef with Kandi was over when they appeared on Season 2 of Celebrity Big Brother, but that clearly wasn’t the case.

“I thought so too. I had no idea,” she told Andy Cohen. “I’ll tell you the story later.”

SWV and Xscape did face off in a May 2021 Verzuz and Billboard‘s scorecard ultimately gave the slight edge in the ’90s girl group battle to SWV.
