T-Pain tuned in to Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR‘s new album when it dropped over the weekend, and while he doesn’t feel it’s necessarily bad, he does think it’s comprised of a bunch of throwaway songs that didn’t make the cut on other projects.
$ome $exy $ongs 4 U arrived on Friday (February 14), and Pain hit his stream later that weekend to talk to his followers about his thoughts on it.

“So here’s my thing, I feel like [Drake] recorded a bunch of shit [and] in order to keep PARTY around, [he said], ‘You can take 10, 15 of these songs, put a verse on them and that’s our album,’” Pain said. “[He was probably like], ‘Bro, the songs are already recorded. These are all the songs that didn’t make my previous albums. Go for it, bro. Put verses on these songs.’
“Yeah, there’s five to seven solo Drake songs…that didn’t make other albums. I’m not saying that they’re bad. These are just songs that didn’t make albums. Or the other way around. [Maybe] PARTY came to him with an album and was like, ‘Drake, can you put verses on these particular songs?’”

Last May, T-Pain was quick to defend himself after a video went viral of him dancing to Kendrick Lamar’s Drake diss song “Not Like Us.”
During a performance in Las Vegas, the “I’m Sprung” hitmaker was getting down while the chart-topping hit blared through the speakers.

After catching flak from Drake fans who took issue with the clip, Pain hit back on X, writing: “Welp! You heard it here first folks. Don’t drunk dance in a robe. Somehow it’s a political statement now.
“Pls don’t let somebody else’s beef kill y’all’s fun. Let ppl dance PLEASE!! Mustard killed that fuckin beat tho. It’d be pretty weird if you didn’t dance to it.”

Pain previously offered his thoughts on the beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar and refused to pick a side.
Speaking on his Nappy Boy Radio show in April, he said: “Drake or Kendrick? I choose to mind my fucking business. It ain’t got nothing to do with me. It ain’t gonna hurt my pockets if I pick one or the other. Don’t give a fuck.
“It’s cool, like, the sport of rap and stuff is fine but past that? ‘I wonder what Drake did to make everybody so mad.’ Who gives a shit? He ain’t do it to you. Keep moving.”
He added: “You’re gonna not go to work tomorrow to try to figure out what Drake did? No. Still gotta go to work. Go to fucking work! Listen to the songs — not the A.I. ones, those are fucking terrible.

“The fact that some people can’t figure out, especially that last K. Dot song was A.I. Oh my God. Not only did it sound A.I. but some of them bars were wack as shit. And if that was K. Dot, we would have had some kind of problem.”
