T-Pain Says Hip Hop Needs “Original Content”

With high-charting singles like “Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin’)” and “Bartender,” T-Pain was one of the most known auto-tune artists of the mid-2000s. As the vocal tool is making a re-emergence in Hip Hop music lately, Teddy Pain recently sat down with Montana’s Zoo 107.5 FM and said that Hip Hop music is lacking original content.

“At this point, I’m proud of myself and ready to show the world that they need me,” he said when asked about where he is in his career. “I think the game needs me, they need original content.”

The Tallahassee, Florida native also said he is the best to ever do it when it comes to creating original content and that fans of Hip Hop music need T-Pain back in their lives.

“I’ve always come out with something original and I don’t think anybody is doing that anymore,” he continued. “The game needs T-Pain and I’m the best to ever do this and I’m going to be the best to ever do this so why not just come back and give the people what they want.”

Toward the end of the interview, T-Pain noted that he has gotten to work with every artist on his “wish list” and has no regrets about how his career has progressed so far. He also said there’s “no big rush” in regards to putting out his next studio album.

    1. I’d take that remark seriously if it came from somebody with actual talent & range. This cocksucker helped destroy hip-hop and mainstream music in general. He should just fucking die already, ain’t nobody gonna miss him.

    2. FIRST, THIS JIGGABOO IS NOT HIP HOP. ANYTHING REMOTELY CLOSE TO TPAIN IS NOT HIP HOP. LET’S LEAVE THE HIP HOP DISCUSSIONS TO PEOPLE THAT ACTUALLY MAKE THE MUSIC

    3. anyone who says T-Pain had 15 minutes of fame is just dumb. He’s the best hip hop crooner next to Nate Dogg and has a plethora of classic songs. Death of Autotune cockblocked his career to open the door for a bunch of singing ass rappers smh

    4. Can you name another rapper/singer who brought auto tune to the forefront like T-Pain did? Thought so.

LMAO you act like bringing auto tune to the forefront was actually a good thing for the culture

    5. you got bitch niggas like Ross and French Montana just jacking old 90’s songs and putting them on their albums to try and pass off as new to their naive fans

    6. they deleted my comment because I made fact statements in support of T-Pain. This site is bogus and absolutely useless to culture. Just one of the few sites people can troll anonymously
