T.I. Defends Hip Hop

With a new album dropping soon, T.I. has been all over magazines, television and the internet.
However, the self proclaimed King has
taken some time out between promoting his new project to defend Rap music from
    numerous critics.

    T.I.P. made his
first public statement during the BET Awards press conference, asserting that
parents are ultimately responsible for raising their children, not rappers. He
fires back again in the current issue of Blender magazine.

    “Hip-hop
has always been about what you see outside in your neighborhood,”
    he says
before adding, “If you wanna censor this
music, you can’t censor it when it gets to the radio stations
    .

He goes on to compare living in the
ghetto to living in the “jungle” and
points a finger back at those who left the hood behind and never looked back.

    “You can’t put
someone in the jungle all their lives and then when they get an opportunity to
get out, you’re critiquing them for acting like they from the jungle… Do I
think standards could be raise? Of course. But in order for you to expect them
to act like they not from the jungle, you should of come and got them 20 years
    ago.”

Didn’t know we had T.I.‘s new track featuring Jay-Z? Of course HipHopDX does! Check it right HERE.
