SZA Temporarily Cut From TDE’s Championship Tour

SZA is going to miss some dates on Top Dawg Entertainment’s Championship Tour.

On Tuesday (May 22), TDE founder Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith announced the platinum-selling singer will be temporarily removed from the tour due to issues with her vocal chords.

“I got some bad news,” Tiffith wrote via Twitter. “I have to take SZA off for a few days on the tour. Her vocal chords are swollen and she have to rest her voice to prevent any permanent damage. We been monitoring her close and this is the reason she missed the Arizona and New Mexico dates. She’ll see the doctor again in a few days and I’ll update you guys on her status. As for the dates she missed, we’ll figure out a way to make it up to you guys.”

Tiffith didn’t set a return date for SZA, but the Championship Tour has 18 more shows left to go, including Tuesday’s event (May 22) in Tampa.

The tour is scheduled to wrap up on June 16 in Pittsburgh.

    1. Concert was rushed…would of loved all TDE ppl to do stuff together. Didn’t even do All the Stars.. bit of each artist and Kendrick for 45 min. Was still great to witness but whoever in TDE slapped this together did a poor job. Maybe no time to get the artists together? Waited years for this and was huge disappointment.

    2. IDK what youre talking about. I just saw him in San Diego and I will say that the openers felt rushed, but Kendrick played from 9:40 to 11:00. Shit was a great show- and SZA was my second favorite besides Kendrick. I wish they did more collab stuff, but all around it was probably one of the better hiphop shows Ive seen in the past 6 months.

    3. She have to rest her vocal chords?
Does she has to miss the tour also?
Good grammar from the “Top Dog” lol
