Lizzo and SZA have joined forces for the official remix of “Special” — check it out below.
The song was unleashed on Friday (February 10) and found the SOS singer taking the lead from Lizzo on the track and opening with a verse focused on self-love and confidence.

“Woke up this mornin’ to somebody judgin’ me/ No surprise they judgin’ me, don’t know who I’m ‘posed to be/ I’m just actin’ up, I’m crass as fuck, and never sayin’ sorry/ Found out in the end that I can only do it for me/ You call it sensitive and I call it superpower/ You just lack empathy ’cause you think it gives you power,” SZA sings.
Lizzo comes in on the second verse: “Could you imagine a world where everybody’s the same / And you could cancel a girl ’cause she just wanted to change? / How could you throw fuckin’ stones if you ain’t been through her pain? / That’s why we feel so alone, that’s why we feel so much shame.”
The song arrived after the pair had a conversation on Instagram Live, during which they fanned out over their mutual admiration for Beyoncé. Lizzo revealed she told Bey she would be seeing her perform on herRenaissance Tour three different times, which left SZA in disbelief.
“I saw ‘Formation’ twice,” Lizzo said. “I went opening night ’cause it was on my birthday, then I saw her in L.A.”

SZA added: “The only time I seen Beyoncé perform was at Coachella, and it was fucking crazy.”
Lizzo then dropped the bombshell that she’s seen Beyoncé perform an insane 11 times, although that included concerts with Destiny’s Child. Regardless, SZA couldn’t believe Lizzo has seen the Queen live that many times.
“You making it seem like it’s ok to fight for these tickets now,” SZA said. “I’m going to fight for them. It was like taboo trying to fight for them because everyone was trying to get them.”
She added: “I don’t give a fuck, I’m getting tickets. I’m a fan, I deserve. Fuck y’all, I deserve.”

Lizzo and SZA then started conjuring up ways to score Renaissance tickets, such as pretending to be backup dancers, managers or stage designers. The fandom oozing out of them falls in line with the sky-high demand for tickets for Beyoncé’s upcoming tour.

Even with the additional shows, the company noted that “demand is still expected to drastically exceed supply.”
