Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys have been married nearly 15 years, but according to the Grammy Award-winning producer – they’ve never had an argument.
In a new interview with US Magazinepublished on Thursday (March 20), Swizzy explained that because their communication is so on point, things have never escalated beyond a disagreement.
“Marriage is definitely a big word, but look at it like your best friend,” he said. “The communication is there. We’ve never had an argument. Since we’ve been together, our kids [have] never seen it; never seen us raise our voice [or] never seen us yell. Never seen us curse at each other. Why? Because of communication.”
Noting that of course they “disagree on things,” he added: “When you yell at each other, no one is really listening anyway. Nothing gets solved in each other’s yelling.

“People think they can own people. You can’t. It’s not property that you own. There’s a whole human, right? So, we’re very clear on that. She’s her own boss. I’m my own boss. That’s how we make magic when we come together. I think that helps because people start getting very territorial and making their partner property, and I think that’s the biggest mistake.”
Back in November, Swizz Beatz crowned his wife the “female Dr. Dre” while sharing an unreleased track she produced for Meek Mill.
A clip shared by Swizz brings fans into the undated studio session, where Alicia can be seen playing piano and making the beat as Meek records some bars.
“Lost files @meekmill produced by @aliciakeys ! Can’t lie AK produce like any heavy producer 😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨😮💨 Female @drdre to be exact !!!!!!” Swizz captioned the post. “Let’s get back to the pain and passion ….. should this song drop? The finished version is crazy.”

But the pair’s interests have branched out beyond music in recent years. In 2023, Alicia Keys filed a trademark to launch a new tea brand, “Alicia Teas,” which was inspired by a gift from her husband.
According to TMZ, the “No One” singer’s Alicia Worldwide company has filed a trademark for Alicia Teas to launch her tea line in the near future looking to shake up the beverage industry.
Swizz may have been the one to put the battery in Keys’ back to go forward with the line, as he gifted his wife her own brand of tea bags in 2020 for her birthday and manifested that the brand would one day be sold in Starbucks locations across the globe.
“Happy birthday we got endless amount of teas and everybody in Starbucks around the world you’re gonna see Alicia Teas,” Swizz said at the time. “Blessings, happy birthday, baby. Love you!”
