Suge Knight has given J. Cole a light dressing-down after he apologized to Kendrick Lamar for dissing him on “7 Minute Drill.”

In a clip from an upcoming episode of his Collect Call podcast obtained by TMZ, the incarcerated Death Row Records founder shared his disapproval of Cole backing down from the feud, reminding the North Carolina rap star Hip Hop is a “contact sport.”

“Kendrick Lamar… he’s the only muthafucka with a cigar,” he began. “J. Cole, you’re supposed to say what you mean and mean what you say.

“To be the best, you gotta beat the best. It’s a contact sport. As we used to say back in the day, if you don’t want to be a gangsta rapper, go be R&B.”

After claiming Kendrick’s “victory” as a win for the West Coast, Suge slammed Cole’s pacifist approach towards his rivalry with the Compton rapper, claiming Black people “would still be in slavery” had they adopted that mindset.

He also cited other high-profile rivalries, including his own feud with Diddy and Bad Boy in the 1990s.

“When I said what I said about Puffy at The Source Awards and Puffy would’ve tucked his tail instead of getting on me, it would’ve been a disappointment to our people because he would’ve looked like a bitch in front of everyone,” he said.

“When one of us looks bad, we all look bad. When Kobe Bryant played Michael Jordan in the All-Star Game, Kobe showed up and played his best game ever.”

He continued lecturing the Dreamville founder: “I’ma tell you like I tell my son: if you act like a pussy, people gon’ treat you like a pussy. And you know what happens to a pussy? A pussy gets fucked.”

Suge Knight is far from the only rap figure who has reacted to J. Cole’s controversial apology to Kendrick Lamar, which came after they traded shots on “Like That” and “7 Minute Drill.”

50 Cent shared his own thoughts on Instagram earlier this week, and did not appear impressed as he publicly reached out to the Grammy-winning rapper.

“WTF how I miss this, @realcoleworld call my phone [phone emoji] right now!” he wrote.

Meek Mill, Mick Jenkins and TDE President Terrence “Punch” Henderson are among the many others who have also weighed in on Cole’s bold move.
