Speaking to The Art of Dialogue, Knight, who is currently behind bars serving a lengthy prison sentence for manslaughter, denied that was the case.

“When it comes to Ray J and you saying you got my life rights, let me tell you something lil boy, now you playing with my kids and my family, so we gonna play with yours,” he warned.

“Since you say you got my life rights and you gonna mess up the money my family gets, I’m gonna sue your punk ass. I will get every dime you get, every dime your mama hide.”

Knight also called out Ray J for claiming that he did not know about former Death Row singer Danny Boy being gay.

“Danny Boy is not my son but I always loved him like a son. Ray J, you knew Danny Boy was gay when Danny Boy was slipping and sliding,” he said. “What I love about Danny Boy is he owned it and I’m proud of him for that. That’s who he was, that’s who he is.”

Suge also ripped the “One Wish” singer for going against him in interviews and speaking about him, 2Pac and Death Row during their 1990s prime.

He said: “Don’t go on nobody’s show talking about the real Death Row, 2Pac or myself. The reason why I said that is he wasn’t around then. To go on there and speak on stuff… Everybody throwing gossip, playing these games.”

The mogul’s son, Suge Knight Jr., also aired his grievances with Ray J in a video posted on Instagram, challenging the singer to a fight.

“Aye Ray J, real quick bro, how about we set up this fade?” he said. “Let’s get straight to it because you want to talk about my family. You want to spread lies? Let’s run that. Suge J vs. Ray J.

“You’ve been homeschooled your whole life, bro; I graduated from Crenshaw. I don’t think you’re ready for this. But you know what? I’ma call you out on that. It’s a real West Coast fade and I’ma really whoop that ass.”

Knight Jr. then referenced Ray J’s recent run-in with Diddy’s sons, adding: “I ain’t the Combses, my n-gga. Trust me.”

In a recent series of interviews with Vlad TV, Ray J made a number of claims about his history with Suge Knight and Death Row, including claiming to be unaware of Danny Boy’s sexuality and that he hung out at the label in the early and mid ’90s as a teenager.

Back in 2019, Suge previously denied that Ray J had his life rights, saying: “He don’t. Ray J is not just a friend of mine, that’s little brother, that’s family. And I respect Ray J and his business dealings.

“That’s why I choose him as one of the guys to deal with the music side of the future for Death Row Records and it’s great to have him ’cause he will be putting out this incredible album and I heard it before.”
