Suga Free has finally dropped The Resurrection album. The project is the West Coast legend’s first solo LP in a decade.
The long-awaited album features plenty of material to make up for the 10-year wait between projects. Suga Free’s 21-track release includes collaborations with DJ Quik, Kokane and E.D.I. Mean, among others.

This album does seem to be mixed or mastered. On some songs the drums are too loud. The vocals are mushy and too quiet on some songs. Every song has different volumes. There are clashing frequencies and the stems were not eq’ed. Otherwise, it’s actually a really good album but the mixing and mastering is horrendous. Compare this album to a properly mixed album like Anderson Paak’s Ventura and tell me what you think!
I like the deep bass and different non trap hi hats.
