SSGKobe Speaks Out After Rape Allegations

SSGKobe has issued a response to the sexual assault allegation against him, which involves a woman claiming the rapper raped her during a studio session last November.

The alleged victim, an artist named Ka$hkenni, came forward with the allegations on December 28 and claimed the rising 19-year-old rapper (real name Tyreek Solomon Pelleri) forced her into having sex with him in a soundproof studio room on November 23.

In a post shared by NoJumper, the “MIA” rapper denied the allegations against him, and said his parents raised him to always respect women.

“As there has been a lot of information and disinformation going around about me I feel the need to address my fans,” Kobe began. “My parents raised me to always respect women, I practice this each and every day and will continue to live my life abiding by that. Unfortunately, a private matter of consensual sexual relations between two consenting adults has turned into a defamatory public matter against me.”

He continued, “the picture being painted is not based on facts. I apologize that my desire to not have a long term relationship with someone was not properly communicated by me, resulting in a false resharing of events. I will leave this matter to be further addressed by my legal team.”

Ka$hkenni had previously detailed the alleged incident in a series of Instagram posts, while also adding multiple screenshots of a text exchange between SSGKobe and her both before and after the alleged assault. (Ka$hkenni’s Instagram account has since been taken down.)

She began by saying Kobe DM’ed her and invited her to the studio to make some music, and said when she initially arrived at the studio that “things were chill” and the two of them sat in a room with other people “vibing to the songs he just made.”

Kobe allegedly texted her asking her to go into the recording booth with him, but when she didn’t reply, his mood allegedly changed.

“He gets up to go back into the recording room,” she wrote. “I feel someone staring at me. I look over and he’s standing in the doorway of the room we are in giving me this very demanding and intimidating look. I’m still under the impression that he just wants to talk so I go into the recording room with him.”

Ka$hkenni then claimed she and SSGKobe began making out before he allegedly brought her into a small room and turned off the lights.

“He proceeds to start trying to [take] advantage of me,” she wrote. “He asked me to give him head. I told him ‘no I don’t do that, I don’t wanna do that.’ And I try and move around him in order to leave the room and he steps in front of me to block the door.

“And proceeds to coerce me into doing things with him that I don’t want to do. He never asked for consent. And I was verbally telling him ‘No,’ ‘stop’ and ‘you’re hurting me.’ I was trying to push him off of me. But he ignore[d] all of that.”

She added: “I couldn’t yell for help the room was soundproof. I was scared. The first thing he said when it was over was ‘I’m sorry.’”

In a few screen-shotted text exchanges, Kobe seemed to apologize after Ka$hkenni confronted him, writing: “I just wanna apologize first off since you said you feel like i forced you to do something that shit is not cool at all and that isnt someone i am as a person.”

“This man is a manipulator, liar and rapist,” Ka$hkenni concluded on Instagram. “He hurt me and god knows how many other females he has hurt as well. I am posting this because he needs to be held accountable for his actions. I’ve been keeping this to myself for weeks but it’s time to speak up about it.”

The Louisiana-bred rapper shot to fame last year with his song “Thrax,” which went viral on TikTok and earned him a major label deal with Columbia Records.
