Tickets go on sale Friday (May 5) at 10 a.m. P.T. via Hollywood Bowl’s website.

“Let’s go [fire emjoi] [music notes emoji] [praying hands emoji] celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Doggystyle at the Hollywood Bowl,” Snoop wrote on Instagram on Tuesday (May 2).

Doggystyle was released in November 1993 and boasted the hit singles “”Who Am I? (What’s My Name?)” and “Gin and Juice,” along with appearances from Nate Dogg, Warren G, Tha Dogg Pound and more.

The album was primarily produced by Dr. Dre — whose own groundbreaking debut The Chronic revolutionized rap the previous year — and was a cornerstone piece in popularizing both G-Funk music and Death Row Records.

Doggystyle debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with over 800,000 sales in its first-week, which made it the fastest selling rap album at the time until Eminem’sThe Marshall Mathers LP smashed that record in 2000 by moving a staggering 1.78 million first-week copies.

Nt everyone is satisfied with the legendary history behind Doggystyle and Dr. Dre receiving credit for producing the landmark album, though.

Former Death Row CEO Suge Knight claimed a recent interview from prison with TMZ that it was actually Daz Dillinger — the Dogg Pound rapper and producer who is also Snoop Dogg’s cousin — who produced the album.

“What’s so great about Daz is, this guy, I went to and said, ‘We gotta finish the album,’” Suge said. “He did the whole — he did everything on Doggystyle. By himself. The whole album was done. He did everything. He produced it.”

He continued: “So when it was time to come out, the streets said, well, they want Andre [Dr. Dre] to be on it. And Andre said, ‘I want to be on there.’ So Andre went to Daz and said, ‘Look man, let me say it was produced by me, and put my name on it. You’ll get paid, but let me be the one who produced it.

“So I told Daz, ‘That’s something he wanted to do. I don’t recommend it, because you’re the one who produced it, and you’re giving up your publishing.’ So, Daz signed paperwork, and said it was produced by Dre.”

However, Daz later denied Suge’s version of events while hailing Dr. Dre as “the best producer in the muthafucking world.”

“I did not have nothing to do with that, Dr. Dre did that on his own,” Daz said in an Instagram video. “Suge Knight is lying, I ain’t sign a muthafucking thing.

“He’s just covering shit up because of everything that Snoop has uncovered in the Death Row unveiling of all the business and shady shit that Alan Grunblatt, little fat fucker, and what they was doing and how they was still in cahoots with Suge Knight. So he’s just making up shit right now.”

Meanwhile, Snoop Dogg announced last year that he is releasing a new album produced by Dr. Dre.

Tha Doggfather dropped the bombshell during an appearance on Stephen A. Smith’sKnow Mercy podcast, where he revealed the project is called Missionary.

At the time, Snoop Dogg said the album would be finished in November 2022, but it’s unclear when it will be released exactly.

“I’ma tell you this, you’re the first one to hear this: me and Dr. Dre have been working on an album for the past two months,” Snoop said on the podcast. “And it’ll be done in November. It’s produced by Dr. Dre, it’s our 30th anniversary to Doggystyle. And the name of the album is Missionary.”

When Smith asked: “Why that name?” Snoop replied: “The first album was Doggystyle,” prompting a roar of laughter from the sports personality. “That is beautiful. I love it, man,” Smith commented.
