Snoop Dogg, a.k.a. Snoopzilla, and Dam Funk have released 7 Days Of Funk, a collaborative effort via Stones Throw Records.
“We’re the babies of the Mothership,” Snoop says in a press release for the album. “I’ve had funk influences in my music my whole career. Dam-Funk is cold. He’s keeping the funk alive and I knew I had to get down with him.”
The collaborative effort was one filled with chemistry, Dam Funk says.
“Snoop knew what I was thinking without me having to articulate it,” Dam says in a press release for the project. “That’s how you know when you gel artistically with someone. These beats were made for him and he laid down some of the smoothest harmonies and melodies I’ve ever heard. It’s Hip Hop, but you can also hear what we grew up on, from Zapp to Evelyn ‘Champagne’ King and Patrice Rushen.”
The project’s cover art, tracklisting and stream can be found below.
1. “Hit Da Pavement”
2. “Let It Go”
3. “Faden Away”
4. “1Question?” f. Steve Arrington

maybe I missed it in the article, but can you source the artist for this cover?
I know Jeff Jank is the artistic director for Stones Throw and handled similar artwork for the Quasimoto projects and the Donuts vinyl artwork, but that’s pretty speculative….

Snoop Dogg aka Snoopzilla? He is going through a serious identity crisis. Within 12 months he has been Snoop Dogg, Snoop Lion, Uncle Snoop, and now Snoopzilla? God damn it. If you aren’t going to at least make an attempt to reinvent yourself (Yasiin Bey, Sean Price) then don’t change your goddamn name. Apparently turning 40 isn’t easy on a rapper.
He was DJ Snoopadelic on his mixtape aswell
people have diffrent names big whoop
there’s tons of artists that go by multiple names
there called alter egos lots of talented MC’s,rappers etc. do this. ex:Eminem,MF Doom,Mac Miller,Rza,etc
biggest sellout in hiphop.
snoop aint selling out, hes tired of doing the same shit hes been done for years, let him try what he wants, hes not just a rapper hes a musician and this funky shit is what hiphop needs
Dope ass album cover
this has much more of that OG snoop vibe…. he fell off after the second easidaz album. Snoop was my favorite rapper as a teenager but then he came with R and G???…. his excuse was he was tired of the same old shit. Real talk tho ive been to two of his shows and its only his pre R and G shit that gets people hyped..
before I looked at the paycheck 4 $9546, I did not believe that…my… neighbours mother was like actualey bringing in money part time from there labtop.. there great aunt had bean doing this for only about 22 months and recently cleared the loans on there apartment and bought themselves a Alfa Romeo. look at more info… http://www.Fb39.com
.Besides the story is about Paul Walker’s death, but hold up I guess cus he has starred with a few rappers that makes it a HipHop story, right? Lol smh.
