Snoop Dogg has been named a captain for the NFL’s 2023 Pro Bowl game where he’ll help coach the AFC team alongside NFL Hall-of-Famer Peyton Manning.
On the other side of the field, Peyton’s brother, Eli Manning, will coach the NFC team with comedian Pete Davidson.

The Pro Bowl matchup will take on a brand new format this year featuring players competing in a non-contact flag football game.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN/ABC from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on February 5 at 3 p.m. ET.

Regardless of the new rules, a confident Snoop has guaranteed victory over Davidson with Peyton Manning masterminding the gameplan for his team.
“I’m comin’ back to the NFL field, but this time, instead of performing, I’m going head-to-head with Pete and competing for the title of The Pro Bowl Games Champion,” Snoop relayed to PEOPLE.

“The competition is going to go off, but we all know that Peyton and our AFC squad are gonna do some big things. We’ll end up on that podium.”
The entire weekend will be a party for NFL fans in Sin City, kicking off on February 2 with the superstars competing in various drills and skills challenges like dodgeball.

Players expected to attend (if they’re not playing in the Super Bowl the following week) include Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts, Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill, Joe Burrow, Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner and more.
Snoop Dogg has long been an NFL fan and even made an appearance as part of the Super Bowl LVI halftime show last year in Los Angeles where he performed alongside Dr. Dre, Eminem, 50 Cent, Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige at SoFi Stadium.
Meanwhile, the Long Beach icon was inducted as part of the 2023 class into the Songwriters Hall of Fame earlier this week. He was credited for his countless career hits such as “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” “Nuthin’ But a ‘G’ Thang,” “Gin & Juice” and Dr. Dre’s “The Next Episode.”
“Damn, Songwriters Hall of Fame? That’s big,” he said in a video celebrating the honor. “And just to think, I’ve been telling people for the past seven years, ‘Who you wanna do a song with, Snoop?’ I’d always say Sade. And now we going to the Songwriters Hall of Fame on the same day. Not only that, Teddy Riley? New jack swing? I’m going in with him? Man, God is good.”
