Since the glory days of Death Row Suge Knight has continuously gone out of his way to insult Dre and Snoop, the men who took his label to the top. The strangest part, especially considering the ego’s involved, is that neither Dre nor Snoop have ever really responded with any harsh words. Dre has made one subliminal dis on “What’s The Difference” but it was pretty tame. Snoop made reference to Suge and Death Row on “Y’all Gonna Miss Me” when he said, “I can’t trip off the past/on the real homie/I had a blast.”
The reason behind the lack of rebuttals has been assumed to be that they know better than to insult Suge. There are no shortage of stories relating to Suge’s past and “business conduct,” if anyone knows whether they are true of not, it is Dre and Snoop. I guess they knew not to fuck with him.
I guess Snoop’s meteoric rise to superstardom of late (movies, cars, pornos) has inspired him to say a few things to Suge. In a recently leaked song called “Fuck Suge Knight,” Snoop talks shit to his former boss and his gang affiliation (Bloods). I haven’t heard the song to know if it actually Snoop or an imposter like the previous one. From what I have heard though, it is definitely Snoop.
