Yesterday (January 6), it was reported that Shia LaBeouf plagiarized Gucci Mane in a Twitter apology. The report included various instances where LaBeouf has plagiarized other public figures’ works.
Yesterday (January 6), LaBeouf also plagiarized a Twitter post from Kanye West while apologizing to Taylor Swift for plagiarizing her words.
Today (January 7), LaBeouf apologized to Swift with words copied from a 2010 Kanye West Twitter post.
This mirrors Kanye West’s September 2010 Twitter post to Taylor Swift.
“When I woke up from the crazy nightmare I looked in the mirror and said GROW UP KANYE…I take responsibility for my actions,” Kanye West Tweeted, according to Washington Post.
West’s apologies to Taylor Swift came after interrupting the singer during a speech at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2009.
“Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time,” Kanye West said. “One of the best videos of all time.”
In 2010, West said his interruption of Swift was “very punk rock and revolutionary and idealistic and very angry in a way.”
In August 2013, West spoke about the incident again while on Kris.
“The last thing I would want to happen to my daughter is some crazy, drunk, Black guy in a leather shirt to come up and cut her off at an awards show,” West said. “That’s the last thing I’d want…I was just a crazy Rock star.”

Kanye was a total out of control rock star for interrupting Taylor Swift like that. Interrupting 18 year country singers is so rock n roll. I can’t believe how out of control he was that night. When I saw it happen, I was like “Is that Kanye West or Keith Moon? Whoever it is, that is the most OutOfControllest, RocknRolliest badass I have ever seen”.
