Sexyy Red has landed herself in hot water yet again, this time for not doing her research before putting her support behind a cause.
On Wednesday (November 29), the St. Louis rapper shared a TikTok video by a man who is currently in prison. In it, he can be seen lip-syncing to her song, “Free My N-gga,” seemingly demanding his own freedom as well as that of his partner, who is also behind bars.

But it didn’t take long for social media users to respond to the Twitter post — which the 25-year-old captioned, “Free Dat [ninja emoji] !!!” — to let her know the couple was sent to the pen after being found guilty of murder.
“do you know what him and that man did?” one person commented under the since-deleted tweet, while another added: “you lost your damn pregnant mind.”
According to ABC affiliate News Channel 9, 29-year-old Dakota Bradshaw was shot dead in Walker County, Georgia last year. In May of 2023, Eric Dodds, the person in the aforementioned TikTok, and Kavon Collier were found guilty of the murder and several other counts by a jury.
They both received life sentences.

Sexyy Red was recently the victim of a much lesser crime herself, which prompted her to get her lawyers in line to start civil proceedings against an AI scam campaign.
Last week, a Twitter user revealed that a digitized version of the “SkeeYee” rapper’s voice had been used to advertise “free money,” wherein her replica claims that “the government be handin’ out stacks to y’all” in what appears to be a stimulus check scam.
“Ummm does sexyy red know a company is using her voice to steal peoples info???” he wrote, which she later quoted with: “My lawyer bout to have a field day.”
Prior to that, Cardi B had also made legal threats of her own after spotting a video that featured an AI-generated version of her voice saying nearly the same things mentioned above.

Taking to Twitter, she shared the clip that dubs her fake voice over a real video of her.
“Yo it’s ya girl Cardi and I’ma show you how to put $16,000 in your pocket right now for free!” AI Cardi says in the clip. “So pay attention! The state’s handing out these stacks to every single one of y’all. You don’t even need a job! It’s all part of a stimulus-style program to help Americans get back on their feet. They’re sending out these health spending cards re-loaded with that green every single month!”
