The Scratch DJ Academy wants you! The Academy is blazing a new trial in hip hop as the first ever DJ school. Basically, you get an education in the art of deejaying. The Academy was founded by Jam Master Jay of Run DMC, Reg E Gaines (author of Bring in Da Noise, Bring in Da Funk), and Rob Principe.
The goal of The Scratch DJ Academy is to elevate the art of deejaying through education. They will do it in several ways, one of which is to provide anyone with access to the necessary equipment. One of the biggest blockades in deejaying is that turntables and a mixer a rather costly and keep many aspiring deejays from ever getting behind the wheels.
In addition, the classes will be taught by some of hip hop’s premier DJ’s.
