ScHoolboy Q Confirms J. Cole Production, Raekwon Appearance On “Oxymoron”

As a producer, J. Cole has worked on Kendrick Lamar’s most recent two albums, 2011’s Section.80 and 2012’s good kid, m.A.A.d city. It appears that Cole’s discography ties to Black Hippy and Top Dawg Entertainment are expanding in 2013.

As ScHoolboy Q readies his own first major label-backed release, he confirmed Cole’s involvement on the boards. “I just got a record from J. Cole.” I’m working on that right now,” said the North Carolina emcee/producer in a recent interview with Bootleg Kev.

In addition to currently having the #2 selling album this week in the country, Born Sinner, J. Cole has produced on albums by Bun B, Wale and Sha Stimuli.

Alchemist, Boi-1da and THC are among other producers said to be involved with Oxymoron. The album is currently without a release date, despite being completed recording. According to Q’s interview, “sample clearances” are delaying the third retail project from the Los Angeles, California emcee.

UPDATE: Prematurely, ScHoolboy Q has also confirmed plans to include Wu-Tang Clan member Raekwon on Oxymoron. The Staten Island, New York emcee and the Los Angeles, California emcee have been discussing the appearance to the point where Q felt it was safe to call.

“Me and Raekwon, we’ve been talking and we’ve been trying to get a record, and I think I finally found the record for him,” he told VIBE last week. “I’ma say thank you ahead of time to the Chef.”

Raekwon has worked extensively with regular Q collaborator/producer Alchemist.

At present, Oxymoron is slated to now include 50 Cent and Raekwon, along with production from J. Cole.

You guys have editorial and grammar errors in almost everything I read. I’ve followed this site for some time now, but the mistakes in writing keep happening & it is growing old.

Please read through this again and find a couple errors you’ve left.

    6. “I just got a record from J. Cole.” I’m working on that right now,” said the North Carolina emcee/producer in a recent interview with Bootleg Kev. — what

    7. cole didn’t produce anything on GKMC. He produced the song “The Jig is Up” which was released as a one off single just after GKMC came out. It was his thank you to the fans for all the first week sales support.

    9. This article starts off wrong.

“said the North Carolina emcee/producer in a recent interview with Bootleg Kev.”

How you confuse the person making the the beat (JCole) with the person who album it is and the one actually in the video.

Do you guys know who you are writing about? Do you know what these guys sound and look like? SMH

      1. ^^Anonymous isn’t lying. The majority of Cole’s production is boring. Mac Miller makes better beats than Cole.

      2. cole production not all that great

always feel like its missing sumthin

        or he uses fucked samples

      3. Mac Miller is just decent producer with a couple very good beats. Cole is very good producer and improving. Nothing Mac Miller has done touches Villuminati, Power Trip, HiiiPower, Let Nas Down, It Only Gets Better and Rise & Shine. Those beats are stellar.
