ScHoolboy Q has confessed that he once nearly robbed Ben Baller’s jewelry store in Los Angeles.
Appearing on J.R. Smith and Stephen Malbon’s golf podcast Par 3 alongside the celebrity jeweler, the TDE rapper and former gang member recalled his plan to stick up the Slauson Avenue hotspot, which he and his crew concocted long before his music career took off.

“It’s funny to say it. Me, my homeboy Lil One Punch from the set and T-Rell… bro, you know we thought about robbing your store?” Q told Baller.
“I’m so happy we didn’t do it. We would have died. There was mad security and all that shit. We thought we were just gonna run in that motherfucker like, ‘Ooh, we gonna get him.’

The Blue Lips MC continued to detail the elaborate plot, saying: “This is a real story. We trying to map this out, we planned it out. ‘Alright, one of the homies gonna have a fight over here, we lure the security away, do all this, that and the third.'”
“And then I think one day, like a week or something before we were about to do it,” he continued. “We had it all mapped out, who gonna do what. We were like, ‘Bro, we gonna die‘ [laughs].”
ScHoolboy Q has previously spoken about being a victim of a robbery himself after getting held up by a gang of Bloods.
Speaking on Lil Yachty‘s A Safe Place Podcast earlier this year, he said: “I was at the bus stop. I was young, like 15. Some Bloods robbed me. I had a basketball in one hand. They took my bread. I had, like, a transfer for the bus and like $2.

“I was peace treaty as soon as they walked up, though, right? So I started dribbling the basketball, act like I’m super [into] basketball [laughs]. [One of the guys] took my beanie off and said, ‘How much money you got in your pocket?’ I said, ‘I got $2. I play basketball.’ He said, ‘We need some weed anyway.’”
He added: “And then one of his boys apologized! He was like, ‘My bad, Blood. Blood trippin.’ I was just happy days! I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ I had a blue beanie on.”
Q has also admitted that his hometown of Los Angeles is one of the most dangerous places for rappers.
Asked the question on Drink Champs, the “Hands on the Wheel” hitmaker replied: “Yeah, because everybody be checking in. That’s y’all favorite thing to do — check in with somebody that’s gon’ rob your stupid ass. You think that guy that you don’t know in California got your back? The guy that got beef with other hoods and all this, you checking in with that dude?
