Scarface Delivers Rare Freestyle On MTV’s “RapFix Live”

Scarface and Travis Porter were guests yesterday on MTV’s “RapFix Live,” speaking on their respective projects and delivering separate freestyles.

The veteran rapper scrolled through his phone to find lyrics appropriate to spit, revealing that he has 150 songs written and archived. During his interview portion, Face spoke on his child support case and spending time in jail, having to learn his lesson the hard way.

Face’s appearance on “RapFix Live” precedes his upcoming first solo show in New York City, New York, taking place at SOB’s on June 28th. He is also at work on a collaborative album with Beanie Sigel titled Mack and Brad, as well as a solo album titled Rooted.

    1. Scarface is like that one rapper that everyone acknowledges and puts into their top 10 list just to make them like cool, but I highly doubt that everyone who does that actually listens to him lol….

      1. May I ask you why you think that? You didn’t explain yourself as to why. Just want to see your reasons for that.

Im from the street that he raps about so, to me,personally, he’s that dude. But like i said, im just trying to see where you’re going with your statement.

      2. agree with koth561. niggas give certain rappers props just to be politically correct and just to spite the new school. some predictable ass nigga is probably going to say “this freestyle is better than anything young money has ever put out”. just the same old bullshit. then when a drake article about him catching a cold or some trivial bullshit get written they comment 90 times while this so called “real” cat that’s allegedly so much better ends up with only 5 comments.

      3. fuck dat he’s in my top 10 cos of his bars on tracks like G Code, Lean on Me, I Tried etc etc.. always heartfelt and powerful stuff when he spits

      4. I kinda hear what your saying, but I think ‘Face transcends that since he put out hot material since ’90 – ’07…lots of people say Rakim, G Rap, KRS, Kane are legends but can’t really feel their early (mid 80’s and admittedly somewhat dated) material…The Fix was perhaps Face’s best album and prob caught him a lot of newer fans…all said – FACEMOBB is the G.O.A.T.

      5. @Mr. 713: “Im from the street that he raps about”
I know damn well you’re not from the street and never been in the ghetto.

      6. @Jacc

And how you know this? LOL Nigga on the internet are hilarious! Im still stay on Bellfort and MLK right of of South Bank. I still live in South Park. I still walk these street every fucking day, but you know i dont. Do you live in Houston? Do you know me personally? HELL FUCK NO! GTFOH with that internet tough guy shit. LMMFAO I’ll wait till u tell me other wise how you know! Matter of fact take yo time…I wouldnt want you to look more like an ass!

      1. HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING WITH THE TAG HE A GROWN MAN. HOW IS A NOBODY GOING TO TELL A LEGEND HOW TO WEAR HIS CLOTHES.

    2. “1989 i sold dope for a pasttime 1991 they called the nigga scarface”

ironically enough all ive bumped in 2 weeks is the diary and the world is yours

    3. My fav scarface album gotta be the Diary, like the lyrics he spits are so real, the beats on the album are so fresh and go deep.

The intro and outro to the album are insanely hot, u gotta listen to it every time, puts the album in the right place to kick it off strong

I would put Paris (Guerrilla Funk) and Scarface in my top 10 for sure

    4. I hate those straight brimmed ass hats niggas use nowadays.

      1. oh you mad boi? fuck you we aint gon change our hats cause of you. and niggas didn’t grow up on manhattan you racist fuck.

    5. The fix was classic to me. Arguably his best work next to the Diary. I thought some of the beats could have been better on Emetrius though.Untouchable is under-rated to me. I love the dark gloominess throughout the whole album.

Mac and Brad is a must buy. Hope Rooted is dope too.

Scarface may have the best catalogue all time/ classic songs on almost all his albums over 20 years.

      1. WORST ALBUM EVER BECAUSE LIL WAYNE SHUT THE FUCK UP. WHO CARES ABOUT ONE SONG YOU ACT LIKE THE ENTIRE WILL HAVE WAYNE ON IT

    7. funny how scarface and all the rappers you people like get a pass for stealing their names from gangsters but ross doesnt.

      1. WELL FOR THE RECORD HE STOLE IT FROM A MAKE BELIEVE CHARACTER. RICK ROSS IS AN ACTUAL PERSON. I TELL YOU ABOUT THESE YOUNG DUMBASSES THAT THINK THEY ARE REALLY KICKING KNOWLEDGE.

      2. oh so if rick ross stole his name from a make believe character yall would let him slide? lol suuuure. but what about 50 cent, nas, mgk, frank white, makaveli etc? they were all real people? so by you logic they are fake too right?

      3. Scarface is a real person…ever heard of Al Capone? And for you young fuck heads, Scarface the rapper is a fuckin legend who always spits fire.

    8. You be killing me Face with that bullshit. Your new album better have better lyrics than this.
