Saweetie isn’t one to hold her tongue, and she’s now had words with a troll who attempted to come for her over her financials.
The exchange went down on Twitter/X on Monday (March 11), following the Bay Area rapper getting glammed up for the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party. In a video she posted before the event, Saweetie told her fans that she was wearing $25million worth of jewelry on her body.

Upon seeing the clip, a woman retweeted it with the caption: “Ion be believing these celebrities got as much money as they act like they got.” She was then met with a polite but biting clapback.
“How does ur thought correlate with this video?” Saweetie asked. “We get dressed to go to red carpets i never said they was mine… the fact that a video of a girl enjoying some diamonds provoked u says more about u than it does about me babes.”
Saweetie has been making waves with her music in 2024 following a brief hiatus. In January, she previewed a new track dubbed “Immortal (Freestyle)” in an Instagram post on a few days ahead of its release, to which fans responded with a bevy of overwhelmingly positive comments.
Weeks later, she followed the freestyle up with an official single titled “Richtivities,” sparking speculations about the arrival of a new album. Unfortunately, all of the chatter surrounding her pending debut album hasn’t been positive.
Earlier this month, the Bay Area rapper retweeted a since-deleted post by MyMixtapes that read: “Saweetie says her debut album has been significantly delayed, not because she doesn’t care about making music, but because she feels no one cares about her music.”
“Who paying yall?” she captioned the reshare, along with a screenshot of the original quote and excerpt from her recent cover story for Allurethat read: “‘I just feel like nobody was caring about my music,’ Saweetie says of the people around her at that time. ‘To me, music is sacred.'”
