Saweetie has opened up about being on the receiving end of a mid-show serenade from Usher during his Vegas residency, admitting that it threw her for a loop and she wasn’t ready for it.

In an interview with the Justin Credible podcast shared on Thursday (July 27), Saweetie said she was “caught off guard” by the R&B star’s swooning — which is something he’s been doing a lot with numerous notable women in recent months — as he sang “There Goes My Baby” to her earlier this month.

“Since I’ve been in the studio, I don’t be online, so I didn’t even know he did stuff like that,” Saweetie admitted. “So my honest response was I was caught off guard. I was like, ‘Ok, what we doing?'”

Prior to Usher’s serenade of Saweetie, he did the same for Joe Budden’s girlfriend Shadée Monique back in April.

The rapper-turned-podcaster was sitting front-and-center with his boo at the R&B legend’s residency in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In a video posted to her Instagram, Usher belted out “There Goes My Baby” and took Monique by the hand, who danced along with him as audience members behind the happy couple screamed with joy.
