Safaree is lucky to be alive after a stray bullet nearly hit him in the head.

The rapper/reality star documented his brush with death on Instagram on Wednesday (March 1). While it’s unclear where the bullet came from exactly, Safaree said he was in Atlanta and took out his phone to film the stray bullet, which had shot through the wall and narrowly missed him.

“I almost got hit in my head by a stray bullet!! I was inches away from where the bullet came from!! This is why I can’t fucking stand Atlanta!!!!! Thank God OMG!! That’s why I don’t feel sorry for you criminals,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories.

In a separate post, Safaree picked up the bullet fragment and wrote: “I cannot believe this just happened! Whoever that was had a switch on his gun and let off 10 shots in 3 seconds.”

The scary incident comes after one of Safaree’s alleged robbers, who made off with over $180,000 worth of his jewelry in 2018, was sentenced to 25 years in prison last month.

Tacuma Ashman was one of three men who allegedly staked out Safaree’s Fort Lee, New Jersey home in 2018 before robbing him. The 43-year-old was convicted on two counts of first-degree robbery and charged with weapons possession and resisting arrest while avoiding conspiracy and violating weapons permit charges.

Together the trio planned the robbery and even went so far as to bug Safaree’s car with a GPS so they’d know his exact whereabouts. The three men later engaged in a police pursuit with all of Safaree’s valuables and attempted to flee across state lines and over the George Washington Bridge.

“This was a carefully planned armed robbery over the course of weeks and months, with specific steps taken to execute it,” said Judge Christopher Kazlau in court.

Safaree wasn’t in attendance for the judge’s sentencing, but prosecutors claimed a childhood friend of Nicki Minaj’s ex-boyfriend named Shawn Harewood was the “mastermind” behind the whole scheme.
