Russ has shown he’ll stop at nothing — even disrupting his performance — to ensure his fans are safe when enjoying his music live.

On Thursday (July 6), the “What They Want” rapper, who was performing on the Coca-Cola Stage at Calgary Stampede in Canada, abruptly stopped his show to intervene in a tussle off-stage, between a female fan and security.

“What y’all doing?” said Russ, who can be heard interrogating the security guards as they slammed the concert-goer against a wall.

“Yo, yo, that’s a female bro. What’s wrong with you?” he continued questioning those involved. “Yo! That’s a woman, dog. You don’t need to be that aggressive. It’s five fucking dudes. What are ya’ll doing?”

“Damn dog,” he added in disbelief before hopping off the stage and rearing towards the incident. Speaking to the crowd after the incident, he added: “All I saw was just five grown men with one chick, like doing way too much.”

“I don’t know if there was a fight — that was OD,” he concluded before proceeding with his set.

Russ’ performance comes just weeks after the multihyphenate received some one-on-one coaching during a “dream” studio session with one of his most significant influences, Dr. Dre.

Last month, the “Losin Control” rhymer shared some snaps showcasing him in the studio with the CEO of Aftermath Entertainment. The post also showed the rapper stopping by the gym as well as attending former Apple creative director and record producer Larry Jackson’s wedding, where Timbaland and Swizz Beatz gave a thrilling performance.

Jackson was also present at the iconic studio session, along with Death Row co-founder Michael “Harry-O” Harris and Snoop Dogg.

“Man what a week lol the pictures don’t even come close to how insane it was. Blessed,” he captioned the post.
