The Oklahoma University chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon has been kicked off campus, after a video– depicting several white members of the fraternity using racial slurs went viral.
Waka Flocka Flame has cancelled his scheduled performance at the University and the students caught on camera are facing additional ramifications, including expulsion.
On Wednesday (March 11), Rush Limbaugh commented on the situation during his weekly radio show.
“If this had been a song by Kim Kardashian’s husband, and they had sung this song at the Grammys … it’d be a hit,” he said.
The chant Limbaugh is referring to: “You can hang him from a tree, but he can never sign with me. There will never be a nigger in S.A.E.” was captured by an unaffiliated student at the school.
Limbaugh also suggested that Kanye and others who use the slur get treated like “American Royalty.”
His remarks were in response to MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” host Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough alleging that Rap music played a role in the fraternity’s chant.
TMZ captured Limbaugh’s comments. Listen below:

DX: why you promoting this racist below the toting pole grade A ahole on this site? You need clicks that bad? Shame on you and your staff.
I was gonna say the same thign … wh is this news? But remember this isnt a real rap website. They take their hip hop stories from mainstream white mediai outlets and then stenograph it b/c they are too lazy to interview rappers , review hip hop festivals, or report any real hip hop news……. typical lazy media outlet
It’s not a shock that this douche said this. The shock is that rednecks listen, and agree with his viewpoint. For this, I am saddened.
Is what this douche said not true though? You know Kanye stans would eat that shit up. New slaves LOL
hes not lying, if kanye said it yall would be eating it up talking about how revolutionary it is like when he was selling overpriced confederate flag clothing to white people at his shows
lol soooo true. Black people we are soo dumb. If Kanye said this in a song, yall mofos will go and rate it 5 star haha talking about he’s a visionary
It’s more about context, Rush Limbaugh should not be the messenger to this. Hell, I wouldn’t be that comfortable if it were Lord Jamar saying it either. Maybe you agree with this sentiment, but it’s like Trinidad Jame$ saying Atlanta runs New York radio, maybe true but wrong person delivering the message
you guys took the bait and exposed your true nature because that chant is an old song the frat has been using since the late 1800’s, aka during the end of slavery and before rap. don’t worry I know you come back to check the replies
the point is kanye could take a racist chant from the 1800s and if no one knew thats what it was and he repeated it over some synthesizers in autotune and his fans would eat that shit up and claim he is the best artist of our generation.
Damn, he ain’t even respect Kanye enough to use him name tho….
“Kim Kardashians Husband”……. You cold as Ice Rush
Well he’s not completely wrong…but what logical person puts much stock into what ths guy has to say anyway
i dont even know who this guy is or what he does, just always hear the name and people clowning him
I really think people are missing the point here. What’s done is done. You got caught. You’re done. When the media and white power hungry “politicians” and people in power want a say, they start placing focus in a way that seems to reverse what’s happened and make it seem like it’s okay. Limbaugh is just a fat white dude who probably likes getting spanked behind closed doors, and his arsehole tickled by a thornbush.
This big fucking blowhard pig knows there’s a huge difference between the context of Kanye using the n word and a bunch of frat boys saying hang them from a tree.
big stupid blow hard knows the difference between the context that word is used by Kanye and the frat boys
Fact: fraternity got caught singin racist chant.
Hypothetical: If Kanye made it a song, it would be a hit.
Let’s get back to reality to the issue at hand. We can’t let them get away with making a point about something that hasn’t happened. It’s even more sickening that people are trying to bring some kind of light into the situation. I do think that we as black people shouldn’t be mad at the university and just concentrate on any chapter of that frat that condones that chant. The university handled it the right way.
Why are you promoting this bullshit? Delete this article.
I’m ok with them posting this. Let close-minded racists blame rap music for society’s ills. I credit hiphop for contributing to my character, intelligence, good nature and six figure income.
